WhenAntoniofirst arrived at ItchenCollege,music wasn’t the focus of his journey;joiningus on what he thoughtwouldbe a perfectly normalsix monthsabroad endedup shapinghis entirefuture. After enrollingin Music Performanceand Technology,Antoniodiscovereda deep and unexpectedpassion for music that reshapedhis entire direction.

“I fell in love withit straightaway,” he shared. “By the end of my programme,I knewI had to come back and dedicatemyself fully to music.”

So dedicatedwas Antonio to pursuing music at Itchen,he returned to Brazil witha steelyresolve, determinedto finishthe first-year coursework from afar, to enrolstraight intoyear two.

That decisionmarked a turningpoint.Antonio threw himself intoevery opportunitythe collegeoffered — performing in multipleconcertswiththe collegeband, contributingto a charityalbum that gained media attention,and even and even helpingmix the finaltracks of thealbum itself.

Antonioreflectedon how differenthis experiencemight have beenback home. “I wouldn’t have had access to the same opportunitiesin Brazil,” he concedes.“The facilitiesin the Performing Arts Facultyat Itchenare second to none.”

Now, Antoniois preparingto take his passion evenfurther by studying Music Engineeringat theUniversityof Winchester. Withreal experiencealready underhis belt and a fierce dedicationto his craft, his future in the music industry looks bright.

Already thriving atThe Universityof Winchester, Antoniohas had his first tasteof musicalsuccess. Alongsidehis former Itchen Collegeclassmate, Drew Smith-Waite, the duo designed the sound and composed thesoundtrackfor theshort film‘The Red Veil.’

The film, a psychologicalhorror directedby CalumBrown, was selectedfor the BournemouthInternational,making its debut in October 2025, and currentlyboasts a 7.4/10 rating on IMDb.
