India's UPI integrated with PayNet in Malaysia for cross-border digital payments.
NPCI International Payments Limited partnered with Payment Network Malaysia to link UPI with Malaysia’s DuitNow. Indian travellers can now pay Malaysian merchants via UPI apps, with reciprocal acceptance for Malaysian users in India in subsequent phases strengthening scalable, QR-based cross-border payment interoperability.





EximPe secures Payment Aggregator-Cross Border (PA-CB) licence from RBI
EximPe has received the final authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India to operate as a Payment Aggregator–Cross Border (PA-CB). The licence enables global merchants to collect payments from Indian customers via UPI and local rails, with offshore settlements—improving success rates and reducing cross-border friction.




Policy Bazaar Fintech receives Payment Aggregator approval
Policy Bazaar Fintech, parent of PolicyBazaar, secured RBI authorisation for its subsidiary Policy Bazaar Pay to operate as a Payment Aggregator. The approval positions it to compete with players like Razorpay, PhonePe, and Paytm in merchant payments.




RBI proposes framework for responsible conduct in financial marketing
The Reserve Bank of India issued draft amendments to strengthen responsible business conduct in financial services. The framework targets stricter oversight of marketing agents, elimination of dark patterns, and proactive prevention of mis-selling across banks and NBFCs.
