To live in Alexandria is to be part of something truly special. This Spring/Summer, our catalog is a celebration of the community we love, designed to help you experience every vibrant corner of the place we call home.

Whether you are a parent of a preschooler, an active senior, or anyone in between, there is an adventure waiting for you. From baseball to painting, our programs thrive because of our people. You’ll learn from talented local instructors and dedicated volunteers in the very parks, schools, and businesses that define our community.

As the ice melts and our lakes sparkle once again, there is a unique energy that takes hold of Alexandria. Spring represents a season of renewal and fresh starts—the perfect time to pick up a new hobby or refine a skill. As we transition into the long sunny days of summer, our community truly comes alive. We take full advantage of the sunshine, moving our activities into the fresh air and utilizing the beautiful green spaces that make the Alexandria Area unique.

This season is about more than just classes; it’s about the joy of a shared sunset after yoga, the pride of a child catching their first fish, and the laughter shared between neighbors during flag football tykes. We invite you to dive in, try something new, and embrace the incredible opportunities right in your backyard. Let’s make this a season of growth and sunshine, together.

Yours in Community,

inside...

You’ll find fun classes for all ages, youth and adult programs, family fun events and so much more!

EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION

When you attend an ECFE class, you and your child will spend the first portion of class playing together with new and exciting games and toys that are developmentally appropriate and fun. After a short circle time of songs, parents will join a Parent Educator for a conversation about best-practices in parenting, while children continue fun activities with an Early Childhood Teacher.

Time for Toddlers

Classes are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

Prime Time 2’s and 3’s and Marvelous Mixed Age Preschoolers are engaged in the world around them in fun and sometimes challenging ways. ECFE Extra

Young preschoolers are excited about learning! Your child can experience an extra day of practice with this experience, designed for children and families to ease into preschool. Parents and children will attend together on Mondays. Then, children will attend a 2-hour class by themselves on Wednesday to gain confidence with a preschool experience in a warm, fun environment.

Your child will need an Early Childhood Screening prior to beginning preschool or kindergarten in Minnesota. This free, mandatory screening is for all Minnesota children and is best done just after your child’s 3rd birthday. Screening is a simple, careful check of your young child’s speech and language, thinking skills, physical development, and social/emotional health. It is designed to ensure the healthy growth of students to be successful in any educational setting, and if needed, connect them to resources that will support their development.
