Sommerlich leicht geht es auf der Schmugglerrunde mit Unterstützung der Seilbahnen über die Grenze ins zollfreie Samnaun.
Was einst ein Schmugglerpfad war, ist heute eine aussichtsreiche Verbindung zwischen Ischgl und dem Schweizer Samnaun. Früher wurden hier heimlich Waren über die Berge transportiert und gegen Produkte aus dem zollfreien Samnaun getauscht – oft bei Nacht und Nebel, vorbei an den Zöllnern. The Smugglers’ Trail can also be experienced in summer – comfortably with the help of cable cars and lifts and on foot across the border into duty-free Samnaun.
What was once a smugglers’ trail is now a scenic route connecting Ischgl with the Swiss village of Samnaun. In the past, goods were secretly transported across the mountains and exchanged for products from duty-free Samnaun – often under the cover of night and unnoticed by the customs officers. Today, panoramic views, outdoor activity and the fascinating history of this route take centre stage. In Samnaun, duty-free shops invite visitors to browse before returning to Ischgl.

Kulinarik macht das Paznaun erst richtig komplett – und den Urlaub unvergesslich. Zwischen urigen Almhütten und mehrfach ausgezeichneten Gourmetrestaurants spannt sich ein kulinarischer Bogen, der vielfältiger kaum sein könnte. Besonders Ischgl hat sich mit zahlreichen Auszeichnungen von renommierten Restaurantguides als Tiroler Gourmethochburg etabliert, doch Genussmomente finden sich im gesamten Tal.
Highlights:
• Der Paznauner Almkäse ist das kulinarische Aushängeschild der Region. Hergestellt aus roher Tal- und Almmilch, überzeugt der hellgelbe Käse mit seiner feinen Lochung und einem mild-aromatischen bis pikanten Geschmack.

Highlights:
• The Paznaun Alpine Cheese is the region’s culinary hallmark. Made exclusively from raw valley and alpine milk, this pale-yellow cheese with its fine hole structure offers a flavour ranging from mild and aromatic to pleasantly tangy.
• At Culinary Paznaun, local gourmet chefs create refined dishes using regional ingredients for selected mountain lodges and alpine pastures. The dishes are presented on 3 July at the Summer Opening and are then available throughout the summer, accompanied by Lodge Festivals with live music.

ALPINARIUM
Das Alpinarium Galtür – mehr als ein Museum, eingebettet in eine 345 Meter lange und 18 Meter hohe Lawinenschutzmauer – entführt Besucher in die Geschichten der Region. Die Ausstellung „GANZ OBEN – Geschichten über Galtür und die Welt“ erzählt von Menschen, die von hier aus in die Welt hinauszogen oder das Dorf im Tal entdeckten. Auch die Erinnerung an das Lawinenereignis 1999 wird mit dem Memento und dem Dokumentarfilm „Galtür ein Dorf im Gebirge“ lebendig gehalten.

The Alpinarium Galtür – more than just a museum, embedded within a 345-metre-long and 18-metre-high avalanche protection wall – takes visitors on a journey through the stories of the region. The exhibition “ GANZ OBEN –Geschichten über Galtür und die Welt ” (AT THE TOP – Stories from Galtür and the World) tells the stories of people who set out from this mountain village to explore the world – and of those who discovered Galtür itself. ►SONNENAUFGANGSWANDERUNG PEZINERSPITZE MIT GIPFELGENUSS
Mit dem Taxi geht es zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung, von wo aus der Aufstieg zur Pezinerspitze beginnt. Auf etwa 250 Höhenmetern führt der Weg stetig bergauf, bis sich am Gipfel ein beeindruckender Blick über das Inntal eröffnet. Eine kurze Rast mit einer kleinen Jause bietet die Gelegenheit, die Atmosphäre in vollen Zügen zu genießen. Der Abstieg verläuft über das Niederjöchl zur auf 2.120 Metern gelegenen Spiduralpe, wo das Hüttentaxi für die Rückfahrt bereitsteht.

►SUNRISE HIKE PEZINERSPITZE WITH SUMMIT ENJOYMENT
The taxi takes you to the starting point of the hike, where the ascent to Pezinerspitze begins. The path leads steadily uphill for around 250 metres until an impressive view over the Inntal valley opens up at the summit. A short break with a small snack offers the opportunity to savour the atmosphere to the full. The descent is via the Niederjöchl to the Spiduralpe at 2,120 metres, where the lodge taxi is waiting to take you back.

►E-BIKE-, HIKE- & CLIMB-TOUR AUF DIE DREILÄNDERSPITZE
Die von einem Bergführer begleitete Tour startet in Galtür. Von dort führt die Strecke mit dem E-MTB über die Bielerhöhe bis zur Wiesbadener Hütte. An der Hütte werden die E-Bikes abgestellt, bevor der Aufstieg zu Fuß in Richtung Dreiländerspitze fortgesetzt wird. Kurz vor dem Gipfel wird ein Gletscher überquert, die letzten Meter führen über eine leichte, aber luftige Gratkletterei. Mit 3.197 Metern bildet die Dreiländerspitze den markanten Grenzpunkt zwischen der Schweiz, Tirol und Vorarlberg. Geeignet für sportliche Wanderer mit Bergerfahrung mit guter Kondition und Trittsicherheit.

►E-BIKE, HIKE & CLIMB TOUR TO THE DREILÄNDERSPITZE
This guided tour with a mountain guide starts in Galtür. From there, the route leads by e-MTB over the Bielerhöhe to the Wiesbadener Hütte lodge. The e-bikes are left at the lodge before the ascent continues on foot towards the Dreiländerspitze. Shortly before the summit, a glacier is crossed and the final metres lead over an easy but exposed ridge climb. At 3,197 metres, the Dreiländerspitze forms the striking border point between Switzerland, Tyrol and Vorarlberg. Suitable for sporty hikers with mountain experience, good fitness and sure-footedness.

Mit der Alpkogelbahn geht es hinauf auf den Alpkogel. Von dort führt die Wanderung in Richtung Alpengasthof Zeinisjoch. Unterwegs eröffnen sich spannende Einblicke in die Geschichte Galtürs: von der Kraft des Wassers und den beeindruckenden Stauseen bis hin zu den Wegen der Schwabenkinder und ihren bewegenden Schicksalen. Ein besonderes Highlight bildet die Europäische Wasserscheide, an der sich die Fließrichtungen der Gewässer trennen.
