Cultural Center - Community Library Project

Santori Harmoni is a bamboo pavilion de signed to foster reconnection, tranquility, and unity within the APIDA community. Its circular structure, combined with four dia monds representing different regions of Asia and the Pacific, symbolizes diversity and cultural interconnectedness. Inspired by nature and spaces of contemplation, the design aims to create a refuge where people can gather, reflect, and find harmony. More than just a structure, Santori Harmoni serves as a reminder of the value of community, shared history, and the power of connection.

Informative Posters Of

A loft inspired by Mark Rothko’s color-field paintings, where the design is built in layers to evoke calm, depth, and a sense of connection to the space. Through soft chromatic transitions, warm lighting, and tactile materials, the home becomes a serene refuge—balanced in atmosphere, comfortable in experience, and versatile in the way it adapts to everyday life. The composition mediates between openness and enclosure: generous areas for daily living and more intimate corners for rest and pause. The result is a flexible, harmonious environment designed to envelop, support, and transform the everyday through color.

Public Area Private Area

The primary bedroom was designed as an intimate, restorative retreat inspired by Mark Rothko’s color-field paintings, using a warm palette of dusty pinks and soft greens to create an enveloping atmosphere. Deep-toned wood adds warmth and visual grounding, while light textiles, the area rug, and soft lighting reinforce tactile comfort. Subtle black and glass accents keep the space airy and contemporary, and greenery introduces an organic layer that balances the composition—resulting in a serene, welcoming, and adaptable room.

The child’s room was developed around a soft, cool palette of blues and greens to communicate calm and visual clarity. The layout emphasizes clean lines and an organized read of the space, supported by neutral materials and integrated furnishings that add function without visual noise. Vertical wood slats bring controlled texture and rhythm, while small warm accents introduce measured energy to prevent monotony. The result is a balanced, comfortable, and versatile environment that can support different moments throughout the day.

Located in San Francisco’s “Biotech Bay,” The Hex is a shared coworking environment for life science and biotech professionals, designed to accelerate collaboration and discovery. Drawing inspiration from the hexagonal geometry of organic chemistry, the plan organizes the workplace as an interconnected network—mirroring the way research, ideas, and teams overlap in the innovation process. A mix of open collaboration zones, focused pods, and dedicated research areas creates an engaging, adaptive, and inventive setting. The Hex brings science, design, and community together to support the future of biotechnology.

The goal of this project is to design a family-centered community library that encourages learning, connection, and exploration. The space will provide flexible areas for reading, play, learning, and community programs, ensuring accessibility for all ages. Overall, the library aims to strengthen community bonds and offer equitable access to resources and experiences. Our community library fosters discovery, encouraging exploration and learning in an inclusive environment. By promoting engagement, we create spaces that inspire collaboration and interaction for all. Designed for inclusivity, it ensures everyone has access to resources, programs, and a sense of belonging.
