INDIAN RIVER STATE COLLEGE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER’S
PEREGRINE PRESS OCTOBER 2025
ISSUE 02
WHAT WE ARE LEARNING This month, our curriculum theme is Farm Animals! The children will learn all about life on the farm, including the different animals, their habitats, the food they eat, and, of course, the fun sounds they make. We’ll also talk about how farmers care for animals and why they are important in our daily lives.
INSIDE THIS ISSUE • GET OUT AND PLAY • FALL EVENTS • TEACHER SPOTLIGHT • PETTING ZOO • TRUNK OR TREAT
To make this theme even more exciting, the children will get a real-life farm experience when a petting zoo visits the center on October 28. This hands-on opportunity will allow them to meet and interact with some of the animals they’ve been learning about in class, helping to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. This theme offers plenty of hands-on learning, imagination, and opportunities to build language skills while having lots of fun. By the end of the month, the children will not only recognize a variety of farm animals but also understand the important role they play in our world.
