If you enjoy helping others in crisis or those who are having difficulty coping with life problems, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services is your key to a rewarding career. Students may choose from three areas of specialization.
Addictions Studies Concentration Addictions Studies explores the nature and impact of addiction on families, individuals and society. Focus is on addictive behaviors including substance abuse, gambling and internet addiction. Students learn strategies for treatment and recovery, as well as how to provide support, coordinate community outreach activities and facilitate educational programs. Careers are available in a variety of in-patient as well as out-patient treatment facilities.
