Social distance monitoring robot in queue based on IOT

Abstract: Weallknowthatcovid 19situationseffectsourlivesalotinrecentdays.Duringthosecurrentsituation,social distancingplayscrucialrolebecauseithelpslimittheincrementofCovidcasesduetotheperceiveddistancebetweenpeople whospreadthedisease.Atpresent,thereisnowaytoplaceonepersonineachrowinaqueueoranyplacetomonitorsocial distancingviolations.Publicplaceslikeshoppingcentres,cinematheatres,Parksandschools,governmentofficesandtourist placesetc.Manypeoplesinqueuesforseveralhoursaday.Tomonitorthesocialdistanceinvariouspublicplacesinqueue,we wanttodevelopasocialdistancemonitoringrobotbasedonIOT.Themovingrobotcapturethevisualsofpeople(whichwas controlledbyaperson)astheyareincertaindistanceornot,calculatedwiththehelpofvarioussensorsandgivestheanalysis tothecontrolledpersons.

1.Introduction

TheCOVID19effecthasstartedworldwideandturnsintoabighealthissueandstarteddestroyingnotonlyeconomicalsystems butalsofreelifeofpeopleallovertheworldtheirhealthandwealth.Inthatsituationmanycountriesstartedavoidingphysical contactwithpeopleandstartedusingmachinesandrobotstocontrolthesehazard.Manygovernmentsandcountriesgot alertedonthissituationtotakesocialdistancingontothepeopleinrushedareasaswellasinmanycrucialadministrative places.Thiswillmonitorthenormsandactionsofpeople,thattheywerefollowingtherulesornotandtakingnecessarynorms onpeopletofollowtherulesforpreventthissituation.

Wehavetotakeourstepforwardfromoursidetomaintainsuchrulesforreducesthecovid.So,wearealsogoingtomakethe mechanicallycontrollabledevicethatwillmonitortheactionsandprecautionstakenbythepeopleinpublicplacesandalso givingthereportandindexofthereportasfeedbacktous.Indeeplyitobservesthedistancebetweenthepeopleinaqueueas theyarestrictlyfollowingthesocialdistancingandhavetheyproperlymaskedornotwhichwasanalysedbythedevices connectedtothemovingrobot,whicharefixedtothefourwheelmovingrobotwhichwereattachedontothatrobotasonIOT system.ThisIOTsystemhelpstosendthevaluabledatatousasitmeasuresthedistanceofpeopleandsenditthroughWiFi systemfixedontherobot.Andthroughthatdatawewilltakenecessaryactionandcontrollablemeasures.

2.Required Hardware components

Ultrasonic sensor: Itisameasuringdevicethatgivesthevalueofdistancebetweentwopeoplebyemittingtheultrasonicwaves andchangingthemintoelectricalsignalsforthesakeofeasycalculationtosystem.Ultrasonicwaves arereflectbackwhenever thewaveshitanobjectbytheuseoftransmissionandreceivingendsinit.thedistanceonthereceivingendbydecodingthe sonicsignalstoelectricsignals.

DC Motor:Electricalenergytomechanicalenergyconversionisthemotordefinition.EspeciallytheDCmotorhasinputsource isDCcurrentthatwillhelpsindrivetheconversionofenergybyusingelectricDCcurrent.

Buzzer: Thisisthecomponentthatmakesasoundwhenaelectricsignalispassedtoitasainputsignaltomakethatsound. Thiscomponentroleinthisprojecttogiveaalertsignaltothesurroundings.

IC: It is the component that has many passive components integrated on a single silicon chip that has inbuilt resistor, capacitor etc.. which is well knowned component in many electronic circuits and systems.

Transistors: Voltageorcurrentflowregulationiscalledtransistor.Italsoactsasswitchincircuitsforcertaininputparameters orsource

Resistors: Opposingofelectronsisthedefinitionofressistor.Itconnectsincircuitliketotheanodeofledforresistingthe enoughsupplytoled.

Capacitor:itisthecomponentfortheefficientoftimeproducingthepotentialdifferencethatitstorestheelectricchargeinit.

IthasOS,Ram,CPU,andalsocapableofGPIOthatwecanconnectvariouselectroniccomponentsthattocontrolviathoseto makeinusevariousinternetofthingsdesignsandprojects.

Hereweareconnectingvariouselectronicdevicestothislike,camera,wifimodulethatwillsensevariousvisuals,andsendthe analysedandrecordedvideostothedestinationthroughtheinternetconnectedtotheboard.

4. ROBOT CONCEPT

Itisamovingcartyperobotinwhichithasvariouselectroniccomponentsanddeviceslike,powersource,camera,ultrasonic sensor,wheelsandmotorsaswellaswifimodeltogetherformtherobotwhichwehadusedforthisproject.

4.1 INFO ABOUT THE MOVING ROBOT CONCEPT:

It’satotaldifferentconceptwhichweheardaboutarobot,thatheretherobotisworksontheconceptoffollowingalinewhich wassensitizingbytheIRledsthatfollowstheinputofblackandwhitelines. HeretheIRsensorcontrolsthemomentofthemotorleftandrightaswellasfrontandback.

Thesensorsmakestherobotmoveas,theblackandwhitelineswhichwerethereferencesoftheIRsensorthatmakesthe robotmovesleftiftheblacklinesensedbyrightsensorelserightiftheblacklinesensedonright.

4.2 WORKING OF THE PROJECT:

Aswementionedthecomponentsusedforthusproject,wehavethemovingrobotthatmovestowardsthequeuefortakingthe socialdistancingvisualbyusingcamerafixedontherobot.

Measuretheobstacledistancebysignalthatgotbysonicsensor.

Thissensorhastransmitterthatsendthesignalstowardsthefreespace,wheneverthetransmittedsignalshitsobjectthenthe signalgotrecivedbyreceiverandthenitwillcalculateditasshowninbelow.
