6. CONCLUSIONS

Inthisdissertationwork,planningandschedulingofanongoingprojectispreparedusingmanagementtoolprimaveraP6and itiscomparedwiththeschedulingadoptedbythegovernmentbodiesinthisprojectintermsofduration,resourcesandcost.

The requirement of manpower forevery activity of the project selectedforthisstudyi.e.Construction ofgovernment highersecondaryschoollocatedatlalghatiBhopalM.P.isobtainedusingI.S.7272–Iinwhichlabourconstantsareselected accordingtoactivityandquantityofwork.

Thelogicalsequenceofactivitieswithconstraintsweredeterminedandassignedonthebasisof workinvolvedandpast experience.Basedondataobtained,Ganttchartandnetworkdiagramispreparedandrelationsareassignedtoactivities.The durationofproject weredefined at different levellike sub projectlevel, work package level,activitylevel,operations level.

6.1 FUTURE SCOPE OF STUDY

Thisstudyaimsformanpower&resourceplanningandschedulingofaproject.Onecandevelopitforequipmentand furtheroutragesoftheconstructionsfactandduringexecutionprocessasoutragesduetoclimaticconditions,accidents, priceandscalationinfuel,labourwagesandmaterialcost.

Inthisstudygovernment’sotherthanresidentialprojectshasbeentargeted.Thestudycanalsobeelaboratetoresidential townships/integratedprojects,industrialandinfrastructureprojects.

In this study cost optimization and time management is done by resource allocation and critical both for project is obtainedusingprimaveraP6software.Onecandevelopitusinganyothersoftwareandoptimizethecostathighprecision bycomparingresultsobtainedbydifferentone.
