Abstract – Highways play a vital role in facilitating transportation, connecting regions, and driving economic growth. The maintenance of these critical infrastructure assets is crucial for ensuring their optimal functionality, safety, and longevity. This abstract provides a comprehensive overview of the analysis conducted to understand the role of highways and the significance of effective maintenance practices. The study begins by examining the importance of highways as key components of transportation networks, supporting the movement of people, goods, and services. It highlights their contribution to economic development, regional connectivity, and accessibility. Furthermore, the paper investigates the various factors that influence the performance and lifespan of highways, including traffic volume, environmental conditions, and design characteristics.
