Legendary soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa will be Jury President of the 52nd edition of the International Vocal Competition (IVC) ‘s-Hertogenbosch, category Opera |Oratorio. The Competition will be held from 8 – 15 September 2018 in Theater aan de Parade in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Hartmut Haenchen leads the Finals with the South Netherlands Philharmonic.
Besides Kiri Te Kanawa, the International Jury includes prominent singers such as mezzo-soprano Dunja Vejzovic, countertenor Andrew Watts, bass Robert Holl, tenor Zizheng Yu (Ningbo University, China) as well as Nicholas Payne (director of Opera Europa), Joel Ethan Fried (Artistic Director Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Jesús Iglesias Noriega (head of artistic administration Dutch National Opera), Eline de Kat (artistic coordinator Opéra de Monte-Carlo) and Evamaria Wieser (Salzburger Festspiele).
