Issue 5 - 14 November 2025

COMMUNITY UPDATE DIRECTOR’S UPDATE Dear Community, We hope all of you enjoyed a relaxing Fall Break and a nice public holiday on Tuesday! As always, there is lots happening at ISB. Student-artists of all ages have been very busy in the last few weeks. Our Elementary School performers hosted Arts in Atrium, showcasing their diverse talents in singing, dancing, magic, and stand-up comedy, and Middle School students engaged in a deep exploration of art, architecture, and cultural identity as part of their Arts Field Trip to Paris. Our HS student-performers have been rehearsing for the High School Theatre Production, Lovin’ It, which will be an incredible performance at the ISB Theatre on 20 & 21 November. Our Athletics Team are also having an exciting week, with the 2025 Fall ISST Championships taking place both on campus and at international schools in Munich, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, London, The Hague, and Vienna. Best of luck to all our participating athletes who are competing in Volleyball, Soccer, Tennis, and Cross Country from 9 to 16 November! Go Raiders! Arts and Athletics are just some of many ways ISB offers students the opportunity to personalise their learning and to find what truly sparks their interest. From the earliest start in the ECC, our curriculum is intentionally crafted to build the foundation for strong independent learners who are able to choose their best futures. To offer more insight into our Early Years philosophy, our ECC published Purposeful Foundations, a guide to ISB’s pedagogy in Preschool and Prekindergarten and Kindergarten to Grade 2. All the way to graduation, our academic programme focuses on fostering learner agency and autonomy in decision-making, so that each student is truly equipped to choose the pathway that fits their future ambitions. To better guide our community and prospective High School students, last week we released a new video guide to the High School Pathways, showing how each can lead students to successful post-ISB destinations. Wishing everyone a great weekend ahead!
