This highly anticipated live auction will take place at 6:30pm on Tuesday 29 July 2025. Leading the sale is a work of extraordinary historical and artistic significance by Don Binney, last exhibited in London in 1964. This rare offering presents a unique opportunity to acquire a pivotal piece from one of New Zealand's most revered modernists, alongside two additional works by the artist featured in the auction.
Further highlights include two distinguished portraits by Charles F Goldie, a powerful large-scale composition by Buck Nin and an outstanding selection of modern and contemporary sculpture by leading practitioners Para Matchitt, Terry Stringer, Paul Dibble and Hannah Kidd.
A significant Gordon Walters gouache, acquired directly from pioneering dealer Petar Vuletic in 1973, will also be offered.
