HoulewasraisedinthesmallmilitarycityofNorthBay,Ontario.Inhis youth,hewasimmersedinintergenerationaltrauma.Hisfamilyhad beendisenfranchised,andhisfather,asachild,hadbeendisplacedby theChildren’sAidSociety
Asaresult,hisfathersufferedfromalifetimeofsubstanceabuse,and Houlegrewupinanunsafeenvironment.
Houlehadtogeneratehisownsenseofsecurityandsurvivedthrougha deeplyintimateconnectiontonatureandamotivateddesiretocreate somethingmeaningfulinthislife
