At your dispose I am giving you the newest issue of Wiadomości Inter Cars, which is full of reports and descriptions of the most interesting events which took place in our branch of industry. Summer season is for sure favouring such meetings. In our case we are trying to make them combined with a motorization background, at the same time building not only business relations between us but also trying to build positive relations outside business area. This created an idea of events which are combined with motorsport and fit the image of the Company. This year our Customers had many opportunities to get to know the top Polish racing drivers, visit the pit-stop zone and get to know the real hard work of participating in races. We are also presenting the profiles of people who combine their great passion with sport, not only motorsport, although the topic of motorsport will be continued in the next issue as well. Unfortunately it is not always the good news that I have to announce. Just before the magazine was going to be printed, we got a very sad news about the death of our Colleague. Kazimierz Neyman was a longstanding, meritorious co-worker of Inter Cars, who with his activities surely became a part of the company as well as the Q-Service Truck garage chain. With a great grief we inform that on 20 October 2013 passed away
our Collegue Kazimierz Neyman
He was a part of Inter Cars for 22 years. His extensive knowledge and life experience let him built with success the Training Department. He was implementing into our organization and into operations of garage chains the principles of good practice via trainings and coaching. He was the teacher of building partner relationships with Customers. For many years he was connected with truck market, taking active part in the life of Inter Cars SA and established in 1997 and 1999 Q-Service and Q-Service Truck garage chains. He always found time to meet garage representatives, giving them advice and being a friend for them. He was the head of Q-Service LTD and Q-Service Truck Association. He was the Feber project founder. Editor-in-chief of InterTruck quarterly magazine. He was the repository of knowledge and tried to share it with others. Despite being retired, he was still active professionally and as a consultant took part in the life of the company. He earned great respect of his co-workers.
In our memory he will be present as a Great Man, open, willing to share his knowledge and ready to take up new challenges. We wish to express our deepest sympathy for the Family in this difficult time, on behalf of the Board of Inter Cars Group and collegues from work.

WITH RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
THE CULMINATION OF RACING PROMOTION RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP WAS PARTICIPATION OF 50 CUSTOMERS OF INTER CARS IN 70 RALLY POLAND. Joanna Król
The promotion was finished on 31 August 2013 and at the beginning of September 50 Customers were appointed to get 50 double invitations to 70 Rally Poland in Mikołajki. The event was participated by winners of the promotion, the most active sales representatives and regional sales managers, as well as representatives of sponsors: Castrol, TRW, Denso, Ruville, Filtron, Elring, ZF.

The event started with a meeting on the market of Mikołajki, where the ceremony of start was taking place and the contestants were presenting their vehicles. The first 15 had a possibility of choosing their starting positions, which were the result of qualifying round at the super section in Mikołajki. Warm greeting was welcoming all the contestants, especially top drivers of classification who drive under the Inter Cars Castrol TRW brand. This evening during the dinner, our Customers also met Jarosław Tetrycz, a specialist of speed measuring devices, who told them several interesting stories regarding speed cameras.

CURRENT EVENTS The conditions of the race were really hard. Rain, drizzle and wet ground turned out to be really difficult for many teams. Those difficulties were also experienced by our winners, but… no-one has influence on the weather, said Krzysztof Oleksowicz with a smile on his face. - The limit for good weather was used during 13 EXPO. But for us the most important is integration with our customers in motor sport surrounding, and with such idea Inter Cars is going to its Customers. Finally 70 Rally Poland was won by a Polish racing driver, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, who beat a Frenchman, Bryan Bouffier. Third place was taken by a Czech – Jan Kopecky.

It is also worth noticing that the trip to 70 Rally Poland was organized by IC Travel and new project Inter Cars - Motointegration.
Rally history in a nutshell Rally Poland is the second, after Monte Carlo Race, oldest car rally in the world. The first edition took place in 1921. Year by year the route of the rally was getting longer and in 1925 it reached 3,798km. Start in 1940 was made impossible by the Second World War. Rally Poland was operating back again in 1947, but got no appreciation from communistic authorities and the next edition of it was held no sooner than in 1954. In 1960, for the first time the name Rally Poland was used, the race became a round of European Championships, and in 1973 the Rally became a round of a newly created World Rally Championship. In 2005 Rally Poland was moved to the gravel roads of Mazuria region, and the base of the rally was Mikołajki. In 2009, 66 Rally Poland for the second time was a qualifying round of Wold Rally Championship and also in this event our Customers took part

INTERVIEW WITH KRZYSZTOF OLEKSOWICZ
Joanna Król: Krzysztof, congratulations on this great result. 12th place in RSMP and 18th in ERC. Such a place in the group of dozens of experienced racing personalities is a great success. Before you mentioned that because of a strong rain during the race many sections were really difficult and full of so called: road “tear-offs” and not all cars could cope technically with them. Tell our readers what are the differences between each kind of racing car? Krzysztof Oleksowicz: Yes, the road was really difficult for all contestants, but not for cars. The biggest problem for Subaru was that on a wet and muddy ground the car moved in unexpected ways sometimes. On the other hand S200, RRC and RR5 cars in such conditions behave much better, what was visible in final rank. First ten cars on the finish line were modern cars. Those cars have different rocker fixing points and very long absorbers. Thanks to this, in difficult conditions and on road “tear-offs” those long shock absorbers work much better than short ones in Subaru. Also the price for those cars speaks for itself. Top RRC car, which was driven by Staniszewski, Hołowczyc, Kubica and Sołowow in Rally Poland costs around € 500,000 and such a car drives perfectly despite difficult and wet road conditions. Also very well behaved Super 2000 cars (S2000), which cost around € 300,000, but this is an older generation which was popular about 4+5 years ago and is not developed any more. Interesting thing was that the race was won by R5 car which costs around € 220,000 and at the same time is the most modern generation which will be continued for the next few years.
ROBERT KUBICA The only Pole starting in F1! Since 2013 he is taking part in Championship Europe and some of the races in World Championship. His pilot is Maciej Baran.
JAN KOPECKY The Czech is a leader in this season of Championships of the Old Continent. The driver of Skoda Racing Team triumphed in four rounds of ERC, and once was second on the finish line.
MICHAŁ KOŚCIUSZKO One of the most talented Polish racing drivers, who after many starts in Wold Championships moved to top class category of races – WRC.
KAJETAN KAJETANOWICZ The driver who for three seasons does not have any competition on national special sections. By this he proves that R4 cars are not any worse than their competitors.
KRZYSZTOF HOŁOWCZYC Although he focuses now mostly on off-road races, he also takes part in Rally Poland with pleasure. Hołowczyc is considered to be a racing professor in our country. He has three titles of Champion of Poland and a title of Champion of Europe.

CURRENT EVENTS In such a car Kajetan Kajetanowicz got first to the finish line, and it would be great if he could star not only on his domestic battlefield, where all the trophies are already won by him. J.K.: How do you choose tyres for the race? What tactics do you have?
Rally Poland Rally Poland is a part of FIA Europe Championships and Poland and Lithuania Championships. This year 80 teams from different European countries took part in it. A great magnet was the presence of Robert Kubica, but Mikołajki also hosted other great names, such as: Michał Kościuszko, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, Krzysztof Hołowczyc, Wojciech Chuchała, Tomasz Kuchar, Michał Bębenek, Zbyszek Staniszewski, Maciej Oleksowicz or Bryan Bouffier and Jan Kopecky. In this strong team was also Krzysztof Oleksowicz – founder of Inter Cars SA, who is a fan of many sports, among others races, especially gravel races.
K.O.: In case of the tyres I always listen to my experienced mechanics, who know the car. There are many different kinds of materials which decide about hardness. And depending on different factors, e.g.: temperature, quantity of water, kind of road – sand or hard gravel, there are different tyres. The hardest one is used when it is hot and the gravel is hard. Then the tyres are consumed really quickly. Next ones are medium-hard and soft, which was introduced into the market thanks to Pirelli group. And this kind of tyre was the best this time.

GRZEGORZ STASZEWSKI – FIRST POLE BELOW
8 SECONDS FOR 1/4 MILE
ON SUNDAY, 22 SEPTEMBER, AT THE CONTEST “DAS DRAG DAY” IN GERMAN BITBURG, GRZEGORZ STASZEWSKI BEAT HIS OWN RECORD AND RECORD OF POLAND, GETTING ON A Ľ MILE DISTANCE THE TIME OF 7.896S. THE RESULT OF CASTROL EDGE TEAM DRIVER IS A CONFIRMATION THAT HIS CORVETTE IS ONE OF THE FASTEST CARS IN THE WORLD AND FIRST BUILT IN POLAND, WHICH BROKE THE BARRIER OF 8 SECONDS. The driver and his Corvette went to Bitburg with one aim – get below 8 seconds on Ľ mile. The best result of Staszewski and at the same time the record of Poland was beaten twice. - On Saturday, after the first settings of the car we got the result of 8.048s. Later we had the whole night of adjusting the car and its parameters and on Sunday got to the next trial, which resulted in 7.896s. – said Grzegorz Staszewski. - This was the best result during the contest and the second in the history of the track. The whole season was finished on the third
place in Europe and fourth in the world in 4-wheel drive classification – added the driver of Castrol EDGE Team. “Das Drag Day” Contest is different than other contests shown on TV. They are performed according to the rule “tune and drive”, during which the drivers correct the settings of their cars and improve results in the following trials. - This is an open competition, everyone can come and check their car and skills on a professionally prepared racing track. The aim is to beat records and yourself. There is no competition between two
drivers – said Staszewski. Corvette driven by Staszewski is powered by V8 turbocharged engine with up to 2,000HP – depending on settings and fuel. The construction which was created from the very beginning in Poland, using lots of Kevlar and Carbon Fibre, has only one aim – get the best results on Ľ mile distance. The car gets from 0 to 100kph in less than 2 seconds, and another 2 seconds are needed to get to 200kph.

ROBERT KIERZEK – BIG FAN OF FOOTBALL. MEMBER OF INTER CARS S.A. FOOTBALL TEAM. PASSIONAT OF SPORT, MOSTLY BICYCLING AND LONG DISTANCE RUNNING. WITH INTER CARS COMPANY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF ITS EXISTANCE, CURRENTLY THE PRESIDENT OF BOARD OF MANAGERS, WHO IS TRYING TO PASS HIS LOVE TO SPORT ON OTHER PEOPLE. Joanna Król: Robert, since I can remember, you are an active sportsman. You ride a bicycle, run and get successes in this area, you participated in marathons, play football, take part in company tournaments. Was it always this way? Robert Kierzek: My passion for sport started in kindergarten. At that time the most popular sport, because of well known reasons, was football. It was also the time of successes of Polish national team. I can remember Football Championships in 1974, I was 9 then and my dream was to become the coach, Jan Tomaszewski, so I ended up as a goalkeeper. For many years we have been playing football with friends on school and housing estate pitches. Quasi-professional fun with football lasted till I was 25, because I was playing in III division team – Sandecja Nowy Sącz. When I was 18 I almost got to national Polish team, but my eyesight got into my way. But those were the years when contact lenses were really expensive or totally unavailable, and this in a way broke my football career. I started my studies, but despite my breach with football I still play till today. J.K.: And what about your second passion – bicycle riding? Last year you took part in Tour de Pologne for amateurs. Where did you get the idea of taking part in marathons from? R.K.: Riding a bike was always my passion, just with different intensity. I had some brakes, but lately I have been riding a lot and running as well. I have measured my distance this year and it turned out that I have run 1,000km, and on a bike I rode 1,300km. For me this is a way of spending my free time, way of life. But the slogan “Sport is Health” there are different opinions. Some people say that sport is an illness. After last events which took place during Warsaw Marathon (during the run: Run Warsaw, 6 October 2013, one of the participants died) it is good to check your health and have knowledge about your predispositions to physical exertion. Can you take part in competitions which are on the edge of professional sport. I think that you have to do something in your life and have passion, but also you must keep common sense.

IC MUNDIAL
Thanks to large interest and involvement of employees and with support of the Board, Inter Cars Football teams grow bigger. In internal football contests and tournaments participate teams from IC departments, branches, branch groups and also foreign branches. Higher and higher level of the teams can be seen annually during the Inter Cars Chairman Cup. 2011 was the year of first competition with participation of IC departments. In 2012 the Cup had an international status, as the teams from Romania, Hungary, Ukraine and Lithuania took part in it. The year 2013 was participation of four foreign teams from Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia. A great success and a revelation of the cup was the team from Romania, which after a long fight with Glob Cars Team was II in the Cup. Unfortunately other foreign guests did not manage to get to the tournament. Croatians regret it the most, as they had to cancel their participation at the last moment. Inter Cars Chairman Cup 2014 will take place on the break of January and February. Today we know that there will be teams from many countries. Everybody is interested in results of very strong Romanian team. Maybe this year we will also be able to see the skills of Croatians and Italians. The teams train really hard waiting for this moment, which we all hope will be at least the some interesting as the Mundial. Inter Cars Teams also have many successes in lots of amateur competitions.
J.K.: And what are your sport plans for the nearest future? R.K.: The plans for the nearest future is participating in XXV Independence Run – 11 November in Warsaw. In winter there will also be Santa Clause and New Year runs. Next year I will be considering participation in other marathons, even abroad, if only I find time. J.K.: Thank you for the interview. Charity business run Krakow Business Run is one of a kind business run. Participants had a chance of donating to a charity foundation named after Jasiek Mela Poza “Poza Horyzonty”. The foundation tries to help people after accidents, who are waiting for artificial members of their body and need psychological support and law support. The foundation collects money for artificial members of their bodies which will make it possible for them to live a normal life. In 2012 thanks to participation of over one thousand runners they managed to buy an artificial leg for a young girl – Justyna Topa. Krakow Business Run 2013 was dedicated for 25-year old Agnieszka Harasim, who was born with no legs. Despite this she is a very active person – likes sport, plays basketball on a wheelchair, has a sailing licence. She is young, energetic and does not like boredom. The participants of the run collected PLN 60,056, and the most of it PLN 6,740 was collected by Inter Cars SA Team. MOUNTAIN MARATHON
THE LAST EDITIONS OF POWERADE VOLVO MTB MARATHON TOOK PLACE WITH LOTS OF RAIN, MUD AND LOW TEMPERATURE, IN THE MOUNTAINS IT MEANS ONLY: NO GRIP AND FIGHT WITH THE BIKE. Sebastian Chowaniec
In Piwniczna Town, out of 518 contestants who signed in, 380 of them finished the marathon. On the way many participants decided to drop the race, eliminated by difficult weather conditions, malfunction of the bike or an injury. Traditionally there were three distances: MINI (16.9km, 797m heights), MEGA (50km, 1,936m heights) and GIGA (71.8km, 2,975m heights). Contestants of Inter Cars MTB Team finished the marathon In Istebna, just like in previous two marathons, in a full set, but not without any problems. the contestants were welcomed by the rain. In most bikes the brake pads were used totally up after just 1/3 of the distance, in some cases this was the cause for really hard falls on muddy downhill. Spectacular result was reached by Radek Szymborski, getting to the finish line on 57th place in OPEN category. The arena of 6th edition of MTB marathon was Korbielów Town. The route in Beskid Żywiecki which debuted last year is one of the most difficult and best mountain routes in this cycle. It is worth noticing that most probably it is the highest mountain Piwniczna: Powerade Volvo MTB Marathon route in Poland. Inter Cars MTB Team took Piwniczna-Zdrój 13.07.2013. part in the marathon on a MEGA distance which this time was 53km and had One more time in this season Michał Brocła2,043m of heights. END OF SEASON
Marathon in Istebna on 21 September 2013 was the race which closed the season in this year’s edition of Powerade Volvo MTB Marathon. It is a very special race as its 56km length is a loop going through three countries. Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. It was very special also for Inter Cars MTB Team, as there has been a change in the team. Young Patryk Kaczmar joined the team, and his debut was finished in the II place in his age category M1. The route did not fail expectations of the contestants. The competition was full of hard, technical uphill rides, slippery and muddy downhill rides combined with tarmac road parts. Inter Cars team got to the finish line in full set, for the first time getting points in general classification. Inter Cars MTB Team finished this year’s MTB Marathon series on 14th place in general classification. Well, we were dreaming of TOP10 result.

13TH EXHIBITION FAIR OF SPARE PARTS, TOOLS AND GARAGE EQUIPMENT CONFIRMED THAT INTER CARS IS STILL ORGANIZING THE BIGGEST AND THE BEST INDUSTRY EVENT NOT ONLY IN POLAND BUT ALSO IN THE WHOLE CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE. The EXPO took place on a sunny and beautiful September weekend on 6-8.09, at Bemowo Airport in Warsaw. 30,000 people visited the Fair at this time to see the exhibition prepared by nearly 200 Exhibitors on the area of 35,000sqm. These numbers are the best confirmation of the scale of this event. Those of Customers who were not able to come in person, we are presenting a photo account of the 13th EXPO.
FRIDAY – PRESS DAY
Traditionally Friday was meant for the media, suppliers and the biggest Customers of Inter Cars SA. This year the main point of the conference were presentations of Managers of our most promising projects in Inter Cars, such as Motointegrator, Truck Spare Parts Department, ILS, Motointegrator Fleet and Inter Cars Marketing Services. The Board presented the current situation of the Company, which not only resisted the crisis, but also managed to generate record sales revenue results. Also the topic of foreign subsidiaries of Inter Cars was discussed, as their dynamic growth influenced the current situation of the company substantially. The meeting was made more valuable by presentation of Alfred Franke, the President of SDCM, who made a thorough analysis of Polish market and presented suitable market analysis. This calm day, in comparison to coming Saturday and Sunday, was also used by the Suppliers to meet media representatives and perform talks with their business partners. Some booths, such as e.g. Labo-Tech, Motointegrator.pl and Castrol organized special press meetings in the form of mini-conference on their expo booths.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY – FULL AHEAD
Totally different than Friday were the following two days of the Fair. Expo was open to all customers of Inter Cars SA, hosting thousands of people from the industry who wanted to see the most recent offer of automotive parts and services. The Exhibitors were set for direct contact with the customer and because of this they prepared unique offers and lots of unusual attractions from the industry, e.g. car simulators, shows of American low-riders, meetings with racing drivers, contests and competitions, road crash simulators and possibility of using lots of devices that guaranteed extreme king of entertainment. Also all departments and projects of Inter Cars SA prepared suitable image of their booths. One of the most spectacular was the one prepared by Motointegrator. Customers could use racing simulators fighting for points and attractive rewards. Garage owners and employees could update also their e-cards at www.motointegrator.pl webpage which was displayed on a 3D projector. Each Customer, who updated his e-card, took part in a lottery with attractive rewards of total value of PLN 15,000. Krzysztof Hołowczyc himself was the person choosing the winners, and those who were at the booth could try their luck racing against him. Not less interesting, but absolutely different was the booth of Labo-Tech – Inter Cars Laboratory. The visitors showed that the trend for science is now really strong, lots of visitors confirmed it. Our guests could take part in interesting science experiments, with lots of smoke, fore, sparks, but all this in a safe and controlled way. Besides all this you could see samples of metals in 400-times zoom in metalograph or exami-
ne damages on a microscope. The exhibition was popular among hole families with children, who with a big interest observed all those “science tricks”. Each project tried to draw attention of Customers not only with different kinds of attractions, but also with interesting offers and promotions. All of them also informed the visitors in detail about ongoing activities, e.g. Battery Department about new Cartechnic batteries, Lubricant and Chemicals Department about new antifreeze fluids made by 4Max, IC Premia Plus about the points for battery scrap and many other.
SERIOUS TALKS, SERIOUS MONEY
This year impressive was the exhibition of garage equipment, which was located in a hall with area of 5,000sqm. Here for the whole time were business talks, finished with signing contracts. Garage Equipment Department prepared special promotion for customers who want to develop their garages, valid only during the EXPO. Modern garage equipment needs quite substantial financial spending, that is why we try to make money not stand on the way to the development of garages. For this reason we prepared special offers made by Sales Support Department – credits and leasing. Thanks to this not only the biggest garages will have a chance to meet the expectations of the market.

INTER CARS CASTROL MOTOR SHOW THIS YEAR INTER CARS CASTROL MOTOR SHOW ATTRACTED THOUSANDS OF MOTORIZATION FANS, FOR SURE BECAUSE IN SUCH AN ATTRACTIVE PROGRAM EVERYONE COULD FIND SOMETHING FOR HIMSELF.
Editing team of Wiadomości IC just had to take part in this event, firstly because we are trying to give account of all events of this kind in the season. One of the most important attractions was the Master Race, in which top Polish drivers took part. At the apron you could see Krzysztof Hołowczyc, Tomasz Kuchar, Maciej Oleksowicz and Wojtek Chuchała. Also well known Polish sportsmen took part in the event – Jerzy Dudek and Przemysław Saleta. The contestants were doing their best racing against one another in different cars and to get the best results after the whole day of fighting. On Sunday the rank was: I place – Wojtek Chuchała II place– Krzysztof Hołowczyc III place – Tomasz Kuchar The following places were taken by Maciej Oleksowicz, Jerzy Dudek and Przemysłąw Saleta.
SKIDDING? BUT A CONTROLLED ONE!
Several times during the event the audience was warmed up by drift shows and Drift Cup contest, which was driving in a very deep but controlled skidding. For this kind of sport you need a car with a rear axle drive and quite a strong engine, that is why you can most often see drift cars like Nissan 200SX, Silvia, Skyline or all kinds of BMWs. Contestants of Drift Cup were the drivers of STW Drift Team which belongs to Adam Fijał. At the apron you could see: Bartek „BRT” Stolarski – 2013 Champion of Poland, Marcin „Stevy” Carzasty, Marek „Maro” Wartałowicz, Mateusz „Mati” Fijał and the youngest driver of STW Drift - Adam „Junior” Zalewski, who being just 13 years old showed older friends how one should drift. A surprise was also participation of a woman driver in the contest – Karolina Pilarczyk – the only female racing driver with a licence and taking active part in drift tournaments. Her achievements are winning the second round Queen of Europe 2013. Also Bartek Ostałowski made a fantastic performance in his 350HP Nissan Skyline dri-

ven with… his left foot and Paweł Trela – multi-medal holder in Polish Championships, who during the Motor Show took part under the Castrol Edge Brand. During the Drift Cup the referees were rewarding points for the skidding angle, driving dynamics and the smallest possible distance from the opponent in pair drives. Besides drift in passenger cars the audience could also see a very attractive truck drift made by Adam Fijał and Marek Wartałowicz in Volvo from STW Drift Team and by Grzegorz Ostaszewski participating in Sachs and ZF team in Man with 1,200HP!

Bike fans were also satisfied as there were shows of bike stunt and bike trial. Wheeliholix Triumph Stunt Team Poland rider presented their acrobatic skills – Raptowny, Kaban and trial riders: Przemek Kaczmarczyk and Gabriel Marcinów. In the second part of ICCMS you could see the team of FMX Freestyle Family. The contestants performed air tricks on the ramps with over 6m height. These spectacular jumps were performed by Jasiek Kaszuby, Rafał Biały and Zdenek Fuska. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY, AND ALSO FOR THE FIRST TIME IN POLAND THERE WAS A SPECIAL NIGHT MOTOR SHOW! In the surrounding of stars, lights and special pyrotechnical effects the guests could see motorization shows and the best drivers of motorsport. On that night we saw, the Jet-Car, effective motorcycle trial, FMX stunt and special races of Master Race. Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular turned out to be the drift show made by STW Drift Team. During the finale of the event the drivers thanked all the audience gathered on tribunes. Cheering and clapping hands was endless, and fireworks were only interrupting them for a short time. This was the culmination of Night Motor Show. During the event there were also artistic shows with light game, shadow game and fire and led lights. Music was played by one of the most well known DJs and radio presenters from Radio Eska – Paweł Pawelec. The concert of KOMBII band was the highlight of the evening.

BEFORE EXPO
ALMOST 500 VISITORS FROM GDAŃSK GROUP VISITED 13 FAIR OF INTER CARS USING ORGANIZED TRANSPORT. For the key customers we prepared special extra attractions. On the day before official opening of the Fair our Customers visited the Museum of Warsaw Uprising, memorable place which using most modern devices and techniques presents the history and gets to national awareness. This awareness and patriotism was visible during the evening meeting, when Customers were cheering Polish football team in the match against Montenegro. Standing cheers lasted for a long time, despite a very controversial score. The next

day were only 13 EXPO emotions. Whole day visit at the booth resulted in lots of transactions and was a chance of getting to know more about the full offer of manufacturers. The culmination was participation of almost 80 Customers in Night Motor Show.

IN EUROPE
ALSO FOREIGN BRANCHES OF INTER CARS DECIDED TO ORGANIZE THIS KIND OF EVENTS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES. OF COURSE THE EVENTS WERE A BIT SMALLER, BUT FOR SURE EQUALLY ATTRACTIVE FOR THEIR PARTICIPANTS. Expo season was started on 25 May in Kiev with 2 Inter Cars Ukraine EXPO, with participation of 25 Suppliers and 2,500 Customers. The program of the event included a press conference, technical seminars and trainings for the Customers, presentations of Suppliers, warehouse visit and an interesting entertainment program. The Expo hosted suppliers of spare parts for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, oils and garage equipment. Next in the line was Croatia, on 2 June in Zagreb organized the fourth edition of Croatia EXPO. Numerous exhibitors presented their products and answered the questions of our guests. All presentations were shown in mobile training room of Show Car, which came especially for this event from Poland.

2014 MOTO TRENDS IS THE FIRST EVENT OF THIS KIND, UNIQUE EXHIBITION AND MARKET OF BIKE ACCESSORIES, SPARE PARTS, RUNNING MATERIALS AND CLOTHES.
The event took place between 14 and 30 October in Inter Cars Logistic Centre in Kajetany. The Expo was dedicated for wholesale customers, mostly shops and garages. The exhibition area was over 250sqm. During the expo the visitors could see nearly 30 brands of bike clothes and 70 brands of bike spare
parts and running materials. All this was accompanied by a special zone with garage equipment for garages and showrooms. Our sales representatives and product managers presented the full offer and shared their technical knowledge with Customers.

THE AGRO MARKET
INTER CARS SA MORE AND MORE BRAVE GETS INTO THE AGRO MARKET. THE COMPANY WANTS TO BECOME THE LEADER IN DISTRIBUTION OF SPARE PARTS FOR TRACTORS AND AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY, THAT IS WHY THIS DEPARTMENT HAD TO BE PRESENT WITH ITS EXHIBITION AT AGRO SHOW IN BEDNARY. Two years ago Inter Cars decided to stretch its brand and start dealing in distribution of spare parts for agricultural tractors and machinery. For this reason the company has created a special AGRO department in its structure. This was a natural course of things, as the suppliers we are cooperating with also have a product range for agro market – said Robert Golas, responsible for the Agro market in Inter Cars SA. - Right now we are focusing on motor vehicles, tractors and harvesters, offering running materials such as belts, filters, oils, fluids, batteries, clutches or injecting systems. What is more, our product range also includes tools and garage devices for those vehicles, starting with simple hand tools, and ending with the most sophisticated servicing devices, e.g. for servicing air-
-conditioning systems, which can be used not only in the garage but also directly in the field. The complete product range was presented at the trade booth during Agro Show in Bednary, on 20-23 September 2013. This year Agro Show hosted 761 companies including almost 100 foreign ones, from such countries as: Holland, Czech Rep., Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Great Britain, China, France, Austria, Switzerland, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania and Turkey. Within four expo days there were almost 150 thousand visitors. The expo area was 151 thousand sqm, whereas total area of the event reached over 120ha. Machine shows took place on 10 purpose made show fields with total area of 48,000sqm and in
the ring, where 32 machines were presented – including 9 totally new ones. The importance of the show was confirmed by visit of Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Stanisław Kalemba. - Taking advantage of the product range of our over 300 Suppliers – said Krzysztof Marciniak, Manager of Garage Equipment Department in Inter Cars SA - we wanted also to introduce into our offer the parts designed for the Agro market. We are now performing marketing activities which are aimed to inform our customers that we are also present in this market segment, as we were traditionally not associated with such market. As regards Agro Show, this year our bestseller was a special garage trolley with 520 pieces of tools dedicated for agricultural machines and vehicles. The orders are high above our expectations, as only during the Expo we sold about 100 sets of tools. Taking this opportunity we also wanted to change the opinion of modern farmers regarding repairs of modern agricultural vehicles and machines, as it is now impossible to repair them using “only a hammer and a screwdriver”.

SEA EXPEDITIONS ONE MORE TIME GDAŃSK GROUP, IN COOPERATION WITH MOTUL COMPANY, ORGANIZED A BIKE EXPEDITION FOR MOTORBIKE FANS. This year the number of vehicles was 20, and they covered in total almost 700km. This time we went to Szczecin. Great fun was guaranteed by a cabaret evening with Jerzy Kryszak, Kabaret Młodych Panów, Kabaret Ani Mru Mru and others. The Customers had a chance to get to know new items from lubricants industry thanks to participation of representative of Motul company, Mr. Marcin Kornacki. Such form of active time spending is getting more and more popular each year. We hope that in the following years we will be able to give our Customers even more unforgettable and pleasant attractions.
OIL DAY IN RYBNIK Big success was the result of Oil Day promotion in Rybnik Group. Only within one day the Customers of branches: Rybnik, Racibórz, Wodzisław Śl., Jastrzębie Zdrój bought almost 10 thousand litres of oil. The purchase of Shell, Castrol, Mobil and Comma

TRAINING DEPARTMENT OF INTER CARS SA STARTED PREPARATIONS FOR III EDITION OF YOUNG HR PROGRAMME. Young HR is a unique programme which brings together two worlds, i.e. education and business. The programme is supposed to be a king of a trampoline thanks to which young people will have easier start in their business career. - Within the first two editions of the programme 10 schools joined it. 600 pupils took part in the training within the programme. Till now each of 10 schools got devices worth PLN 100,000 and a training package worth PLN 30,000 – this in total is an impressive amount of PLN 1,300,000. The program brings advantages for suppliers
taking part in it, as by trainings and teaching students they are able to present the knowledge regarding their products and servicing solutions. All suppliers are more than welcome – says Maciej Bobrowski, person responsible for the programme. - New suppliers mean new ideas and new topics of trainings, and by this new advantages for pupils and possibilities of broadening their knowledge. The black Show Car was at the event together with Hot America team. There were also big numbers and owners of American cars – those old ones as well as the new ones. We could see such makes as Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Lincoln, Ford, Oldsmobile, Buick, Pontiac and Hummer. Besides our black Freightliner with the training room in its semitrailer, there was also a legend of American roads – the spectacular Kenworth truck tractor. Many participants of the gathering were dressed up in stylish clothes, from that times, when their cars were produced, and audience admired each of the models taking photos of almost each part of them. There were also contests for the visitors. In the place of gathering,
at the apron of an old field airport, many catering points were put up for the visitors. The stage was full of country rhythms and in the evenings there were concerts of rock bands. Saturday evening, at beautiful sunny weather, the whole town and neighbouring towns could watch a parade of all the cars that took part in the event, at a watchful eye of the police. Joanna Ziętarska was the host of the event, and the special evening ceremony was led by a special guest – Włodzimierz Zientarski – American cars fan.

ON THE DAYS BETWEEN 29 AUGUST TO 1 SEPTEMBER, FOR THE FOURTH TIME SZCZECIN GROUP SIGNED WITH ITS LOGO ALL THE CUPS AT FIA CROSS COUNTRY RALLY WORLD CUP – BAJA POLAND 2013. This year’s edition was won by Russian team, Aleksandr Żełudow with Andriej Rudnicki (Toyota Hilux Overdrive). On the second place with a loss of 7 minutes came Marek Dąbrowski with Jacek Czachor (Toyota Hilux Overdrive), and for them this result was their history best in FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup. Third place with a loss of 14 seconds to the second team was taken by Polish-Czech team, Miroslav Zapletal with Maciej Marton (H3 Evo). Adam Małysz with Rafał Marton came in 4th (Toyota Hilux Overdrive). To our surprise, Krzysztof Hołowczyc did not manage to defend his title from previous several years. Because of a malfunction of a transmission in his car he came to the finish line 9th, getting just one point in general

classification of World Cup. The team of Dariusz and Małgorzata Żyła, sponsored by Inter Cars Group – Szczecin Branch – managed to get 13th result. The final of the cup will be made during the Portugal Baja Portoalegre 500 race, at the beginning of November this year. Baja Poland 2013 took place on the area of Dobra, Drawsko Pomorskie and Szczecin area. In racing town during Baja Poland top motorization companies presented their cars, motorbikes, automotive accessories, tuning of cars and the most modern technological solutions. The best Customers of the Branch had a chance to cheer the drivers and tighten their business relations. In the racing town, in a big tent, in the surrounding of vehicle fleet and close to the nature, business relations were established with the group of racing drivers, motorization fans and other people from the industry. Thanks to such event, garage owners could ask the sales representatives in a friendly atmosphere about new products in garage equipment offer, current competitions with attractive rewards and training system of development trends of Inter Cars Szczecin Group.

SEASON ON THE FINISH
CROSSCOUNTRY RACES IN NOWY SĄCZ ARE A TRADITION. WITH THE SUPPORT OF INTER CARS SA, THE ASSOCIATION 4X4 GROUP, 6 YEAR IN A ROW WAS HOSTING CROSSCOUNTRY RACING DRIVERS IN NOWY SĄCZ. The weekend of 20-22 September in Nowy Sącz took place the Master Race, during which the participants had to cover 120km of special sections, qualifying round of Off-road Cars Racing Cup Poland, the exam for a driver and referee licence in motorsport and club competitions. For the first time, in the competition of 4X4 Group the GPS tracking system was used in order to monitor how the contestants are doing. This made the control of the race much easier and improved safety of participants, as well as increased interest of the audience in the race. Some of them watched the competition form a safe distance live and some of them on comfortable seats in front of the computer. Another novelty this year was going by the road book and not after getting to know
the route. There were so called time control points, TCP, all this is supposed to make all the professional rules of races closer to amateur contestants. Since last year 4X4 Group joined Polish Motor Association and started cooperation with Automobilclub from Rzeszów. At the same time members of the Group in cooperation with PZM created the rules of Polish Cup of Racing Cars Rally. According to the contestants the initiative is interesting, as it allows the drivers with smaller budgets, not having racing license compete with professional licensed drivers, fighting for the title of Champion of Poland or Central Europe Cup. This year, within the Cup, 10 teams competed in 2 classes. We hope that this starting project will have a much bigger interest in the next year.
ŻAGAŃ MASTER RACE Another qualifying round of Off-Road Racing Championship Poland and International Off-road Races round in Czech and Polish Off-road Cars Cup is Baja Żagań race, which took place on 25-27 October 2013 with the name “Żagań Master Race”. ON 25 AUGUST IN RADZYŃ PODLASKI TOOK PLACE A UNIQUE GATHERING OF AUDI MAKE FANS. UNIQUE BECAUSE IT TOOK PLACE IN ORDER TO HELP A 10YEAR ODL PATRYK JENDRUCHNIEWICZ, WHO BECAUSE OF A CANCER LOST HIS EYESIGHT. On this Sunday afternoon on the courtyard of Potocki palace in Radzyń Podlaski the participants of the gathering met. There were not only Audi cars or VAG group cars, but also Porsche 911 Turbo, Chevrolet Camaro or four BMWs prepared for drift. About 3:00 p.m. over 60 cars participated in the parade round Radzyń Podlaski with a fire engine on the front. During the parade, the team of drifters presented their skills on several roundabouts. Next there was an auction the result of which was donated for the help for Patryk. The auction included items donated by Krzysztof Hołowczyc, Leszek Kuzaj, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, Harley-Davidson club and Inter Cars SA. We are happy that the revenue on sales of our items was the highest. Besides gadgets from Inter Cars we also gave racing clothes and accessories and original football Euro 2012 with autograph of Robert Lewandowski.

Summer time is a time for gatherings, expo shows and lots of motorization events, at which there just had to be representatives of Inter Cars. That is why the black Freightliner Coronado after coming back from June trips to Croatia and Romania took over the representative functions. It was present in Sachs Road Show, DUB IT! Tuning Festival in Kielce with Motointegrator, Road Transporters Gathering or Truck Show and Barum Rally in Czech Republic. Despite additional duties, the black Show Car did not fail its basic training duties and was present in Radom and Pułtusk. Also at the beginning of October it started a tournee round Poland, which will last till the end of November, with Bosch trainings regarding diagnostic systems, brake systems, sensors and modules. During this time, the black Show Car is going to visit
THE SUMMER SCHEDULE OF SHOW CAR TRUCKS WAS COMPLETELY FULL, AND THE SUMMER SEASON TURNED OUT TO BE REALLY INTENSIVE AND BUSY. Ostrołęka, Szczecin, Piekary Śląskie, Ostrów Wlkp, Konin, Jelenia Góra and Wrocław.

The second of the Show Car trucks, besides some small exceptions took part only in trainings. Since July till 25 October the truck goes through Poland with Mobile, Hella, Lauber, Denso, Bosch, ContiTech, Febi, Wahler, Ruville, Mahle trainings visiting Poznań, Jarocin, Wałbrzych, Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Kłodzko, Warszawa (Farbiarska and Płowiecka branch), Toruń, Grójec, Rzeszów, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Kraków and Opole. After a short technological brake in November, the silver Show Car goes back on the road.

SHOW CAR IN WARSAW, FARBIARSKA BRANCH Farbiarska branch was visited by Show Car with a wide range of free of charge technical trainings. On 26-30 August the Customers took part in the following technical trainings: HELLA – “Engine management sensors. Air-Conditioning – diagnosis and periodical maintenance.”; Mobil – “Requirements for engine oils regarding new EURO norms.” Denso – “Automotive A/C systems Denso” and two Bosch trainings – “Sensor diagnostics and their influence on work of engine. Symptoms of malfunction.” and “Diagnostics and repairs of modern brake systems.“ The Customers were impressed by our mobile training room and all praised the selection of topics for trainings, taking into consideration the fact that malfunctions in modern cars with new technologies can be really problematic even for the most experienced mechanics. Seeing a happy Customer, who leaves the training and says that he is smarter and has new technical knowledge, we can all have a feeling of well done job, following the slogan: “happy Customer – is our Customer”.

SHOW CAR IN GRÓJEC On 23-27 September 2013, the silver Show Car went to Inter Cars branch in Grójec at 41 Mszczonowska street. Our trainings were participated not only by local customers and mechanics, who were looked after by a passenger cars market sales representative – Łukasz Horst, but also by pupils from High School named after “Głuszec” National Army Region – Grójec. Within Show Car trainings the pupils of II and IV class of “technician mechanic” profile and mechanics gained knowledge and skills from many areas, such as: car toe-in and suspension, timing system construction and other engine elements, temperature control and regulation, automotive A/C systems, influence of sensors on work of the engine and repair of modern brake systems. They also got to know the most modern devices used in the work of a mechanic. The exhibition of tools and garage equipment met with a huge interest of participants of the trainings and Customers visiting our shop. For them it was an interesting place for getting to know new products offered by Inter Cars SA. After the end of trainings and lectures the certificates were handed to the participants, to confirm their knowledge.

IS IT PROFITABLE?
OFFERING TYRE REPAIR SERVICES IS VERY OFTEN PRESENTED AS A CHANCE FOR A PERFECT BUSINESS. THE COMPETITION IS STRONG, BUT THERE ARE ENOUGH CUSTOMERS, ESPECIALLY JUST BEFORE AND AFTER WINTER SEASON. The cost of launching a tyre repair service depends mostly on the number of booths and quality of devices. Bigger profit is possible to get in garages with two, three stands, but this means greater cost of launching. For those who have no own financial means or do not want to spend their own money on preparing the garage, can take advantage of different kinds of investment programs offered by manufacturers and distributors of devices. MotoFocus asked readers for their opinion about profitability of opening a tyre service garage, and also if the garages that already offer these services are happy with their revenues. Almost 60% of respondents warn not to open a tyre service without performing a market survey. The respondents pay attention mostly to the services which are open only for winter and spring season, which deliver services of a low quality and also dump prices and spoil the market. Large number of such garages in the surrounding area may cause that opening a garage may not be profitable. One third of respondents said that having a tyre service garage is a good business, but if you also offer other services, such as small mechanical repairs,
brake pads change or oil change: - The market is changing and if someone can adapt than he will survive on the market, but it is not easy; today only a fast fitting garage + tyre change garage make sense, because like in the past you could buy a newspaper only in a kiosk, right now you can buy them almost everywhere, it is similar with tyre repair and change – commented one of the readers. The decision of opening a tyre change gara-
