Houston Methodist Graduate Medical Education
Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship Program Houston Methodist is a 900-bed hospital located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center (TMC) — the largest medical complex in the world. Houston Methodist is ranked the No. 1 hospital in Texas for the 12th consecutive year, and No. 5 in Gastroenterology and GI surgery according to U.S. News & World Report. We are excited to start our Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship Program and are actively recruiting for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Fellowship Program is a 12-month training program with a complement of one-fellow per academic year. The IBD fellow will receive training at the Lynda K. and David M. Underwood Center for Digestive Disorders and the Fondren Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center in the management of patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The fellow will also have the opportunity to learn intestinal ultrasound for guidance in the immediate treatment decisions and monitoring of patients with IBD. The fellows also will work with gastroenterologists who have received specialized training in IBD, colorectal surgeons, radiologists, research scientists, pathologists and dieticians. Research training will be tailored to meet individual interests and aspirations of each fellow as they receive mentorship and guidance from the program’s core faculty.
