Houston Methodist supports 876 faculty with a $380M annual investment in research and education. In 2025, investigators also had access to more than $223M in philanthropic funds for research and education and a competitive $31M philanthropic fund to support translation of their most promising technologies.
We bring new scientific discoveries to patients as rapidly as possible through the full Cycle of Translation from bench research to prototyping and production to clinical trials to FDA approval. Houston Methodist has a $31M product development fund to navigate these promising technologies through a translational pipeline and facilitate a technology transfer handoff to the market for delivery of safe and effective therapies to our patients.
Our global collaborations seek the best expertise for interdisciplinary research and education. In 2025, Houston Methodist faculty mentored 917 graduates and post-docs from 54 countries and participated in 11,300 collaborations with peers from 109 countries.
