P R I N C I PA L’ S W ELCOME I am delighted to welcome you to St George’s International School, where we combine a hundred years of history with a global and forward-facing outlook, underpinned by our rigorous approach to academic excellence. The idyllic location of our campus positions our pupils to enter a global stage, encouraging them to lift their eyes to the opportunities that await. From 18 months to 18 years, each member of our school community is encouraged to be ambitious for themselves and for our world, and we empower them to embrace opportunities, grow as individuals and thrive as members of a diverse international community.
I believe every child should have an education that is designed around their unique needs, interests, and ambitions. A customised journey spanning academics and elite sports, to creative and performing arts, is delivered with the individual attention that makes each pupil feel supported as they grow in confidence, ability, and open-mindedness.
This is a high-performing environment. Our three pillars of academics, sport and the expressive and performing arts inspire excellence in all that we do, and we don’t stand still: building on a strong heritage as one of Switzerland’s leading boarding and day schools, at St George’s we strive to innovate and lead change, maintaining our position as a beacon of excellence in a fast changing world, and ensuring that our pupils are ready to thrive and to lead in the world of the future. In this, our centenary year, may I extend a warm welcome to our school: the warmth of our community, the tailored approach to each child’s educational journey and the transformative nature of a St George’s education. We are committed to creating a kind, thoughtful, and supportive environment where every individual can thrive, with our dedicated Vice Principal for Wellbeing overseeing the support systems that ensure pupils flourish during their time with us. Class Tutors in the Junior School, and Form Tutors in Years 6 to 13, have immediate responsibility for their pupils’ wellbeing and progress. Forms are vertical groupings of pupils in Years 6 to 13, and offer a supportive and familial environment where younger ones can turn to their older peers, as well as tutors, for support. Regular catch-ups play an important part in developing strong relationships between pupils and staff, providing the perfect forum for discussing any anxiety or problem and finding a workable solution. Tutors forge strong relationships with tutees and their parents, and are happy to communicate via email or appointment to discuss individual problems or worries.

Pupils graduating from St. George’s join the long heritage of our Georgentian community spread across the globe.

Finally, you will need to request that the Academic Dean or Headteacher of your child’s current school complete the Academic Recommendation Form.
After the application is completed, we invite each prospective pupil to meet with the Principal and the admissions team for a visit. During the visit, the pupil and their family will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about St. George’s International School. Applicants will then be invited to sit our entrance assessments, which are usually taken online. On occasion, we understand that it is not possible for a child relocating from abroad to visit the school. In these circumstances, a video call interview can be held and the candidate may sit the tests online.
To begin your application, simply complete the Enquiry form on our website at www.stgeorges.ch. Our admissions portal will guide you through the application process, prompting you to upload documentation in support of the application. Required documents:
