The last edition of 2024 features the Belgian soft gingerbread factory Vondelmolen with interviews with Mr. Rafael De Gendt (newly appointed GM) and Mr. Alain Verhoeven (Production Manager).
We talked about the popular story of "A Dog of Flanders". Nello, the poor boy with his dog Patrasche lives in 19th century Flanders full of struggles. A Japanese animation series based on the book made the story famous. In the story, Flemish children loved eating this regional food and Nello dreamed of it which would bring him old happy memories....
