ChargedwithdevelopingtheStateFinancialManagement System(SIGFE),shehadthedauntingtaskofoverhauling themannerinwhichpublicfinancialmanagementexistedin Chile.Moresignificantly,theprojectenabledherto investigatethescopeforenhancingcitizens'liveswith publicservicesthatweremoreefficientandaccessible,like healthcare.

TheCOVID-19pandemicofferedauniquechancefor change,forcingthehealthcaresystemtotheedge.Leading thischangewastheemergenceoftelemedicine,which allowedforremoteconsultationsandextendedthereachof healthcareservicesdirectlytopatients'homes.Astandout instancewastheArturoLopezPerezFoundation(FALP),a toponcologycenter,whichadaptedinnotimetothe requirementsofthepandemicthroughthedeploymentof telemedicinesolutions.Thisrapidinnovationnotonly facilitatedcontinuityofcarebutalsotoredown longstandingaccessbarriers,especiallyforindividualswith complexhealthcareneeds.

Asthehealthcaresystemprogressed,therequirementfor interoperabilitybecamemoreapparent.Interoperabilityin healthcaremeansthatvarioussystemsandorganizations canexchangeandutilizeinformationwithease.Thiswas oneofthebiggestchallengesthatmadepatientcare inefficient,aspatientswererequiredtorepeattheirmedical historyandpersonaldetailsatdifferentpointsofcare, leadingtowastedtimeanddelayedtreatments.
Thedemandformoreeffectiveandstreamlinedcare promptedDenissetoadvocatethesignificanceof interoperability.Sheendeavouredtoclosethegapbetween publicandprivatehealthcareproviderssothatinformation couldbereadilyexchangedbetweensystems.Thisvisionof anintegratedhealthcaresystemwasimportantfor enhancingpatientcare,minimizinginefficiencies,and makingsurethatresourceswereutilizedinthebestpossible manner

PerhapsthestandoutachievementofDenisse’stimeatNTT DATAwasthedeploymentoftelemedicinetechnologiesto treatoncologypatientsintheArturoLopezPerez Foundation(FALP).Thepandemichadpressedthe healthcareworldintoactionasfastasanywar,andFALP requiredasolutiontokeepontreatingpatientsneeding prolongedtreatments.
Inafewweeks,Denisse’steamco-createdatelemedicine solutionthatfitperfectlywithFALP'selectronicmedical record(EMR)system.Theoutcomewasnothinglessthan revolutionary.BetweenAprilandJune,over5,000 telemedicinesessionswereheld,servingover3,700 patients.Telemedicinerepresented40%ofallcareatFALP byJune.Thisachievementnotonlyprovedthepotentialof technologyinresolvinghealthcareissuesbutalsoindicated thepossibilityoflong-termtransformationinthedelivery ofhealthcareservices.
