ENERGY EFFICIENCY
TIP OF THE MONTH
SPRING IS COMING
Take advantage of milder temperatures to save energy at home. Open windows on pleasant days to bring in fresh air instead of running your HVAC system. It’s also a great time to replace dirty air filters, which helps your system run more efficiently and improves indoor air quality. As daylight increases, turn off unnecessary lights and rely on natural sunlight when possible. Small seasonal adjustments like these can reduce energy use, lower monthly bills and help keep your home comfortable as winter transitions into spring.

Ingredients:
Crisp Rosemary Flatbread
1 3/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. chopped rosemary plus 2 sprigs 3/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/3 cup olive oil (more for brushing) 1/2 cup water
Directions:
Stir together flour, chopped rosemary, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add water and oil, gradually stir until a dough forms. Gently knead dough inside bowl 4-5 times, until it comes together in a semi-smooth ball. Divide dough into 3 large pieces and roll out one piece at a time on an unfloured counter, to about 10-inch; dough should be thin. Lift flatbread onto prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush tops with oil and scatter small clusters of rosemary leaves on top, pressing in slightly. Sprinkle with sea salt. Bake until pale golden and browned in spots, 8 to 10 minutes, rotating flatbreads if needed on the pan for even color. Let cool then break into pieces.
