AN ACT INSTITUTIONALIZING THE GRANT OF TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCE FOR ALL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR EXPLANATORY NOTE Transportation takes a huge chunk of a government employee's pay check. They have to allocate a bigger portion of their budget for fare and/or gasoline due to the enormous increase in the price of petroleum. In order to ease the financial burden of the government employees, this measure proposes to grant all of them transportation allowance. This bill seeks to aid government employees of the financial burden brought upon them by the surge in oil prices, which dramatically affects their day-to-day expenses. In view of the foregoing, immediate approval of this bill is earnestly sought.
