Fin dai tempi dell’antica Roma, e prima ancora con gli Etruschi che cominciarono la coltivazione di vitigni autoctoni o provenienti dalla Grecia o dal Libano, il culto del vino ha rivestito una grande importanza nella nostra penisola. Col passare dei secoli la produzione di questo nettare si è sempre più estesa e affinata, con la ricerca di nuovi o la riscoperta di vecchi vitigni provenienti da ogni parte d’Europa e del Medio Oriente rendendo l’Italia uno dei maggiori produttori e con la più grande varietà al mondo di vini di grande levatura. Qui all’Excelsior vogliamo proporvi una selezione di quelli che sono, per noi, i più rappresentativi fra i vini delle varie regioni d’Italia con un accento particolare sulla regione che ospita questo nostro Hotel, il Veneto. Since the days of ancient Rome, and even before that when the Etruscans began the cultivation of grapes, either native or coming from Greece or Lebanon, the cult of wine played a major role in our country. Over the centuries the production of this nectar has increased and expanded more and more, by searching new grapes or rediscovering old ones coming from every known area of Europe or Middle East, thus making Italy one of the biggest productor and with the greatest range of fine wines worldwide. Here at the Excelsior, we would like to offer you a selection of the wines we believe are the more representative ones from the various regions of Italy with a specific emphasis on the region that hosts our Hotel, Veneto.
