Part 1: Environmental/ Seasonal Allergies If you've ever suffered an itch you can't satisfy, no matter how much you scratch, you know just how exhausting and maddening it is to have an allergy. You know if you repeatedly scratch in the same spot without relief, your skin will get red and inflamed and eventually create an open sore. In pets, that's called a 'hot spot' and they are very painful. Some pets develop persistent, deep ear infections that take months to clear only to come back as soon as the medication has been stopped. Some can develop breathing difficulties, Sinusitis and other respiratory problems. Many pet allergies will get much worse if not nipped in the bud. What can you do?
