This morning, from my vast, bedroom window, I saw the full, cold-moon, as round and luminous as a perfect Tahitian Pearl, set. Its magical glow morphed the snow-laden fields into a blue-white, sparkling blanket of brilliant-cut diamonds. Deeper and deeper the moon dipped until finally, its glimmer met with the metal roof of the old barn, illuminating it as quickly and briefly as a flash of flaming magnesium. In a blink, the orb, sank from sight. I found myself once again, bathed in the wonder and glory of 'All That Is,' and as I did, the Angels gave me this message... You live and have your Being in an Energy Vibration of ceaseless miracles. The same Benevolent Source which created the Universe, created you. Notice the miracles all around you. When you watch in awe, the magnificence of a sunrise, or a moon-set, when you walk in the countryside and enjoy being amongst the beauty of a field of wild flowers, when you hear the lilting laughter of a child at play, or glimpse a wild animal lovingly nurse it's young, notice, there was nothing you had to do to create that miraculous moment. There was nothing you had to say, nothing you had to
force into existence...You only needed to notice it for it to fill your heart and bring its joy into your life. Once you notice, you become aware, and once you become aware, you are lifted and filled with joy. Without a conscious thought, you smile, because deep within you, a part of you recognizes and remembers. This miracle and you are ONE. Your Being also exists amongst this endless Universe of ceaseless miracles. YOU are a miracle... ALL MIRACLES ALREADY EXIST WITHIN YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE ONE WITH THE ENERGY VIBRATION OF CEASELESS MIRACLES. Hold on to that knowing when you find yourself inside that moment of spontaneous joy. Hold on to your highest thoughts and wishes... Because it is when you are in this joyous feeling state, you can remember WHO YOU ARE and BELIEVE. You are in effortless alignment with the energy vibration of ceaseless miracles. This is where you unconsciously, automatically attract and call into form and being, Divine Grace. The best and worst of Christmas for your pets! THE BEST YOU CAN DO: For ALL Pets: Keep their routine as much as possible. Acknowledge their presence during, as well as snatching some personal one-onone time away from visitors and the Christmas chaos. Your pet and you will highly benefit from a 'time-out' together whether you go for a nice walk or just into another room in the house where you can get away from all the busyness and noise. Sometimes, just a few moments of explaining, “Good Boy, I know it's crazy around here right now, but soon life will get back to normal,” as you pet him, or give her a little scratch behind the ears can go a long way in keeping everybody happy. Giving a little special treat is also warranted during holiday mayhem. (this works with spouses too by the way!;-) While BBQ-flavoured chips may make hubby happy and chocolate may put a happy smile on your wife, NEVER give these toxic treats to any of your pets! Draw from the following list instead. FAVOURITE TREATS For a Dog: A treat-filled Kong chew toy. (peanut-butter is good) Or natural, freezedried meat bits or preservative-free dental sticks or treat-drop puzzle toys. For a Cat: This is the time to give that most beloved treat you normally reserve to hide medicine in.... For a Bunny: What's your bunny's fav? Carrot tops? Celery? Kiwi fruit? Watercress? For a Guinea pig: Apples, bananas, pears, broccoli, celery, oranges, turnips, parsley, her favs? For a Parrot: Squash, sweet potato, carrots, green beans, zucchini, what's her fav? For a Goldfish: Frozen bloodworm, lettuce, cooked, skinless, mashed peas. DANGEROUS & DEADLY 'TREATS' For a dog or cat: ANY cooked bone. Even those giant femurs wrapped in plastic and sold in pet stores for dogs! They can splinter and cause intestinal damage, perforations and blockages. I knew a family who unknowingly caused their Dobermann a horribly painful death by giving him what they thought was the ultimate 'gift', the left-over Christmas Turkey carcass. All those hard, sharp, tiny bones went into his gut like sewing needles and did just as much damage. (large, RAW knuckle or cowfemur bones on the other hand, are a great supervised treat!) Raisins, Grapes, chocolate, candies, sugar-free products (xylitol) uncooked dough, yummy 'new-smelling' contents in the trash all are highly toxic, as are holiday plants such as Holly, Poinsettias, Mistletoe and Lillie’s.
For a Bunny: chocolate, xylitol, avoid human foods high in carbs, like bread, pasta, pretzels. For a Guinea Pig: Potatoes and skin, raw beans, Iceberg Lettuce, All varieties of cabbage. Bad! For a Parrot: Avocado, dried beans, mushrooms, onions, nutmeg, don't risk feeding! For a Goldfish: Too much fat, rancid fish flakes, too much food left to rot in his aquarium. BEST TOY: For a Dog: Another dog :-) Or any non-toxic toy that squeaks. Or a puzzle toy that drops treats when he figures out how it works. Or the flexible, K9Flyer Frisbee for endless interactive fun. Be prepared to throw this Frisbee for the rest of your pet's life! For a Cat: Any box. Even better, any box with scrunched up wrapping paper in it. Her very own pillow (you also rest your head upon at night;-) A new scratch post! Catnip infused! For a Bunny: Paper bags they can trash, Willow sticks, Toilet rolls stuffed with hay, cardboard boxes, bunny-safe toys that make a little noise like non-toxic, hard plastic rattles and balls with bells. For Cavies or Rodents: Another Cavy! Barring that, a mirror! Ping-Pong balls, wooden blocks, an apple-wood stick, a paper bag to play hide and seek in. A hammock to sleep in. A fun, new maze for an adventure! A cardboard box you've punched holes into that hold toilet rolls with fresh treats. Anything that stimulates 'foraging' as this is natural for them. For a Parrot: Large Cluster Blocks like the 'Beakasaurus'. Parrots are big, very smart and strong birds. Any toy you give them must be parrot-safe, non-toxic, durable and fun! Be safe! They love to snuggle, so a cozy fleece hammock, snuggle huts and peek-a-boo tents. For a Goldfish: A bigger aquarium and underwater castle! And finally, if you have a dog, beware of 'real' Christmas trees(which to some dogs, means 'great, new indoor toilet!) and breakable heirloom decorations. If you have a cat, good luck with trying to keep up any decorations, but please be especially careful with ribbons and tinsel which cats(dogs/birds/bunnies/cavies and rodents) find irresistible and are very dangerous to them if ingested. Your family pet can enjoy the holidays as much as you do with just a few common-sense precautions. Take those precautions, and have a safe and happy Christmas!
