6th floor Insight Hospital - Ada S McKinley Community Services
The interior felt clinical. The challenge was to transform the space to feel warm, welcoming, and comforting.
Our biggest challenge was timeline. The grand opening was quickly approaching, so we selected manufacturers with the capability to ship out our furniture quickly.

They ordered some furniture on their own but did not have a cohesive plan. Dissatisfied with the quality of the pieces they ordered from a catalog, they reached out for assistance realizing they had not achieved their goal of creating an environment where their clients could relax and feel safe. Their architect, Techno LTD recommended our team for professional guidance. We recommended quality furniture, well planned furniture layouts to maximize assets and flexibility and find ways to visually soften the interior.
We selected area rugs, art and lighting for the therapy rooms to compliment the furniture. We redesigned the meeting room to function both as a conference room and as a training space. Art enhanced the walls and plants softened the edges. De-escalation rooms were designed and furnished for calming effects. Private offices were furnished as well as touchdown spaces for clinicians are support personnel. The sixth floor offers gorgeous views of the lake and lots of natural light. Aesthetics guided our choices in every space, the corridor links all of the spaces and we made careful artwork selections to make traveling the hallways a pleasant experience visually.
“Phenomenal work with Amie! Amie goes the extra mile to ensure we are able to meet our deadlines, has a great creative eye, and great communicator. Our agency continues to contact her for future ongoing projects. We have also referred her to other partnering agencies. The furniture and art that she assisted us in selecting are of great quality and within our budget. Highly recommend working with Amie -- The Furniture Person!”
