Travis Barroquillo was a men’s wrestling standout from 2011 to 2016. He was the first commitment to the program and the first threetime All-American and four-time National Qualifier in Warrior wrestling history. Travis is the program leader in wins with 120, pins with 60, and tech falls with 15. He helped the Warriors win two NAIA Regional Tournaments, was a two-time individual NAIA Regional Tournament champion, an was the 2015-16 NAIA Midwest Regional Tournament Wrestler of the Year.
Kendall Guthrie played on the Indiana Tech women’s lacrosse team from 2011 to 2014. She helped lead the Warriors to the NWLL National Tournament in four straight seasons, which included a finals appearance in 2012. Guthrie also helped the Warriors win back-to-back WHAC regular-season championships and the first WHAC Tournament championship in 2013. She is the Warriors’ career leader in points (353) and goals (283). Guthrie was a First Team All-American and National Player of the Year in both 2013 and 2014.
Shaun Geise pitched on the Indiana Tech baseball team from 1999 to 2002. In his four years, the Warriors won three WHAC regular-season titles, two WHAC Tournament titles and earned NAIA World Series berths in all four years. In 2000, the Warriors finished third in the nation. Geise won 12 games in 2002, which remains as the single-season record. That year, he finished 12-2, with six complete games, a shutout, 76 strikeouts and a 3.61 ERA on his way to making the WHAC AllConference team.
Dr. Jeffrey Walls retired in 2025 after spending 36 years at Indiana Tech as a business professor. During his impressive career, he was an avid supporter of the athletics program, and he made many contributions to the department, its staff and its student-athletes. As a professor, Dr. Walls built a human resources degree program that is nationally recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest HR professional society. He received the SHRM National Student Advisor of the Year in 2011, and became just the fifth professor in Tech history to receive the honor of Emeritus.
