PRACTICES AND GAMES:
Practices begin the week of August 17. Games will be played on Saturdays beginning Saturday, September 12 at the Morris Hospital YMCA. Ages 4-6 will play 8 regular season games. Age divisions 7 and up will play 7 regular season games and at least 1 playoff game.
*Leagues may be merged with the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, Village of Shorewood YMCA and Joliet Community YMCA, with games played in Shorewood, Plainfield, Joliet and Morris.
OFFICIAL NFL GEAR:
All participants will receive an NFL jersey and flag belt. Mouthguards are required and gloves are recommended. Rubber cleats are recommended, but gym shoes are also allowed. Metal cleats are not allowed. Participants are asked to wear pants/shorts that do not have pockets while competing in games.

Before and After School Youth Enrichment Program
In the YMCA’s Before and After School program, kids participate in physical, learning, and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve. Kids have fun, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime.

The Morris Hospital YMCA will offer half-day and full-day programming for students during the 2026-2027 school year. Half Days and full days out will be offered at the Y. All participants should dress for the weather and bring a sack lunch. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Fees are non-refundable. The registration deadline is 48 hours prior to the day off school.

Plus a one-time annual $50 nonrefundable registration fee per family. Kid Zone payments will be paid monthly via automatic withdrawal from a checking account or debit/credit card. Participants may start attending Kid Zone four business days after the day registration is completed.

ADAPTIVE SWIM LESSONS
Our adaptive swim lesson program is a 30-minute oneon-one lesson for participants with special needs. This program aims to provide basic water instruction and water safety skills with each participant’s needs in mind.

CENTENNIAL SWIM CHALLENGE
100 Years, 100 Laps!
Celebrate the Greater Joliet Area YMCA’s 100th Anniversary with our Centennial Swim Challenge!
Participants will have from May 1 - July 31 to swim 100 lengths of the pool (beginner swimmers) or 100 full laps in the pool (advanced swimmers)
Cost: $25, Open to Facility Members only.
Participants will receive a commemorative shirt, sticker, and a YMCA water-resistant cinch bag.

FIT4U Free for Facility Members!
If you are looking to start a new fitness routine and don’t know where to start, or if you have taken a break from exercise and want to get back on track, this FREE program is for you! The Y’s Fit4U program offers guidance, knowledge, and motivation to help you lead a healthier lifestyle and become more physically active. This comprehensive 4-week introductory program will introduce you to the Wellness Center amenities, help you set goals, and design a workout program that works best for you. Each appointment will introduce you to a new element of fitness under the guidance of a Wellness Attendant.
PART 1: GETTING STARTED AND BASELINE TESTS
During this opening session, we will assess your current fitness level, set goals, get body composition (if requested), and complete our Fit4U questionnaire. You will have the opportunity to get set up on the YMCA on the Go App and begin orientation on any cardiovascular equipment (treadmills, ellipticals and bikes) that interests you.
PART 2: CARDIO REVIEW AND UPPER BODY STRENGTH
This session will reinforce the basics of using cardio equipment and add instruction of upper body strength equipment based on your fitness goals.
PART 3: LOWER BODY STRENGTH TRAINING
The third session will introduce lower body strength equipment based on your fitness goals and review progress on your new fitness schedule.
PART 4: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
In this closing session, we will review and answer any additional questions related to cardio or strength equipment, workout progressions, and Personal Training options.
Members who complete all 4 sessions will be entered into a raffle for a free personal training session.
COUCH TO CORN FEST 5K

To prepare for the 2026 Corn Fest 5K Fun Run, join us for the YMCA’s Couch to Corn Fest 5K training program!
This will help you get into shape for the upcoming race with 8 weekly meetings between August 3 and September 21. Weekly meetings will include an educational topic, question/answer period, and a group walk/run.
All registrants will receive a printed 8-week training plan to utilize during the training period.

HATHA & HEALING

Combining Hatha Yoga with sound healing together can deeply affect your mind, body, and spirit. Expect merging physical postures (asanas) with therapeutic sound vibrations (singing bowls, gongs) to release tension and balance energy. These sessions will start with approximately 40 minutes of gentle hatha to prepare the body, followed by approximately 40 minutes of a sound bath in Savasana to induce deep relaxation. This combination leaves students feeling grounded, peaceful, and rejuvenated.

WELLNESS CENTER CERTIFICATIONS
This course is required for teens aged 13 to 15 who wish to access our wellness centers. It is designed to provide a comprehensive and informative session so teens can properly utilize strength and cardiovascular equipment. The fee is $20, and parents are needed for the paperwork.
