This program is designed for preschool and kindergarten-aged children, ages 3-5. The focus will be on developing socialization skills, as well as introducing colors, shapes, letters and numbers. Children will participate in learning activities, craft projects, music, gym play and more. Students must be fully potty-trained.

PRACTICES AND GAMES
Practices begin the week of April 27. Games will be played on Saturdays beginning the weekend of May 25 at the Morris Hospital YMCA. Ages 4-6 will play 7 regular season games. Practices beginning the week of April 27th and games beginning Sat, May 25th and location Morris Hospital YMCA.
OFFICIAL NFL GEAR
All participants will receive an NFL jersey and flag belt. Mouthguards are required and gloves are recommended. Rubber cleats are recommended, but gym shoes are also allowed. Metal cleats are not allowed. Participants are asked to wear pants/shorts that do not have pockets while competing in games. YMCA will provide mouthguards.
Registration fees will increase by $25 after March 30. Uniforms will not be guaranteed by the first game for those players who register after March 30.
Practices/ Games:
Practices will be held one day per week beginning the week of April 27. Games will be played on Saturdays at Goodwill Park, beginning May 25. Players will be provided a hat and jersey. Participants who register after March 30 will pay a $25 late fee and will not guaranteed a uniform by the first game.

The Morris Hospital YMCA will offer half-day and full-day programming for students during the 2026-2027 school year. Half Day programming and full days out of school will be offered at the Y. All participants should dress for the weather and bring a sack lunch. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Fees are non-refundable. The registration deadline is 48 hours prior to the day off school.

The college tour will depart from Joliet Junior College, located at 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet. Our adaptive swim lesson program is designed for children with special needs. The goal of this program is to provide basic water instruction and water safety skills in a therapeutic manner with the needs of each individual participant in mind.

SWIMMING
FURTHER FASTER JETS SPRING SWIM CLINIC
The JETS swim clinic is a great opportunity to spend time with the JETS coaches learning new skills and getting an idea of what the team is like. Throughout the clinic, coaches also evaluate swimmers to determine if they meet criteria to be placed on the team. Swim team will launch in Morris starting September 2025. If swimmers do not meet the criteria to join, the YMCA offers swim lesson programs to develop skills.
To participate in the clinic, swimmers must be able to safely swim 25 yards, comfortable with their face in the water. Spots for the team are limited. Clinic registration at a site does not guarantee practice site for the upcoming season.

The LAZYMAN IRONMAN is a triathlon challenge created just for Y members! Participants will have the opportunity to complete a full IRONMAN by swimming, biking and running their way to the finish line at their own pace and in their own time to complete the 140.6-mile race in six weeks.

WELLNESS CENTER CERTIFICATIONS
This course is required for teens aged 13 to 15 who wish to access our wellness centers. It is designed to provide a comprehensive and informative session so teens can properly utilize strength and cardiovascular equipment. The fee is $20, and parents are needed for the paperwork.

If you are looking to start a new fitness routine and don’t know where to start, or if you have taken a break from exercise and want to get back on track, this FREE program is for you! The Y’s Fit4U program offers guidance, knowledge, and motivation to help you lead a healthier lifestyle and become more physically active. This comprehensive 4-week introductory program will introduce you to the Wellness Center amenities, help you set goals, and design a workout program that works best for you. Each appointment will introduce you to a new element of fitness under the guidance of a Wellness Attendant.
PART 1: GETTING STARTED AND BASELINE TESTS
During this opening session, we will assess your current fitness level, set goals, get body composition (if requested), and complete our Fit4U questionnaire. You will have the opportunity to get set up on the YMCA on the Go App and begin orientation on any cardiovascular equipment (treadmills, ellipticals and bikes) that interests you.
SMALL GROUP TRAINING
TRX SUSPENSION AND WEIGHTS

In this 45-minute class you will use the TRX Suspension Trainer, along with additional equipment that compliments the push, pull, and rotation actions of the TRX. This will give participants an edge over conventional strength training because these exercises builds true functional strength and improves flexibility, balance and core stability all at once!

A 45-minute class that include strength and cardio to make up a total body workout. This class uses timed intervals. We will be using rowing machines, dumbbells, battle ropes, kettlebells, and other fun equipment. It’s all the rage!
PART 2: CARDIO REVIEW AND UPPER BODY STRENGTH
This session will reinforce the basics of using cardio equipment and add instruction of upper body strength equipment based on your fitness goals.
PART 3: LOWER BODY STRENGTH TRAINING
The third session will introduce lower body strength equipment based on your fitness goals and review progress on your new fitness schedule.
PART 4: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
In this closing session, we will review and answer any additional questions related to cardio or strength equipment, workout progressions, and Personal Training options.
Members who complete all 4 sessions will be entered into a raffle for a free personal training session.
