The Joliet Community YMCA is excited to offer STEM, art, and nutrition/no-heat treat workshops for students in our community! These special one-hour workshops will give kids a chance to learn, explore, and have fun with their friends!
PLEASE NOTE: Students must attend the school where programming is held to participate. YMCA Kid Zone after school program participants who are registered for a workshop will be chaperoned to and from the workshop.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to learn, explore, and have a blast with their friends!

Practices:

PLEASE NOTE: The 10-12 and 13-14 year old NFL FLAG Football divisions will also play games against C.W. Avery Family YMCA and Morris Hospital YMCA teams at locations in Plainfield and Morris.

Led by experienced dance staff, this enthusiastic program will teach aspiring dancers of all skill levels a mix of turns, jumps, and dance routines.

Teen REACH Camp
This summer, the Y will be offering a FREE summer day camp program for students in grades 6-8. At Teen REACH Camp, students will learn to respect themselves and others, work out their differences, and discover the value of true friendship. Campers will also enjoy up to 10 weeks of summer fun full of swimming, sports, outdoor exploration, field trips, and more.

2026 COLLEGE TOUR

The college tour will depart from Joliet Junior College, located at 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet. Departure from JJC may be as early as 7 a.m. and arrival back to JJC will be no later than 6 p.m. Finalized trip itineraries will be communicated the week prior to the tour. Transportation, lunch and t-shirt will be provided.

Teen REACH After School Youth Enrichment Program
Teen REACH (Responsibility, Education, Achievement, Caring, and Hope) is a FREE after school program offered in partnership with Joliet Public School District 86. Hosted at the district’s four junior high schools, Teen REACH programming incorporates the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and includes a resourcerich curriculum that provides students with academic support, life skills education, recreational opportunities, mentorship, STEM, and service learning activities.

HELPING KIDS FLOURISH
Hosted by the Salvation Army at the Joliet Corps Community Center, located at 300 Third Avenue in Joliet, these programs are offered free of charge and open to the community:
After School Kids Klub
Wednesdays, from 3-6 p.m.
January 14-May 20
At Kids Klub, students in grades 2-8 receive homework assistance, participate in recreational activities, and enjoy a light supper. Pre-registration is required.
Music Class
Thursdays, from 4-5:30 p.m.
January 15-May 21
Students in grades 4–8 are invited to participate and receive beginner-level music instruction, focusing primarily on brass instruments. Pre-registration is required.
GYM RENTALS
Members of the community may rent the gym at the Salvation Army Community Center for birthday parties, baby showers, special events, and sporting events/practices.
SATURDAYS AND LIMITED WEEKDAY HOURS ARE AVAILABLE.
RATE: $50 PER HOUR
Dates and hours are subject to availability. Rentals are not available in December. A rental agreement/ deposit are required to reserve the space. Tables and chairs are included. Bluetooth sound system and wireless microphone also included, if requested. A bounce house is available for an additional charge. Renters are responsible for their own decorations, including table coverings, food, and utensils.
