Back in 1945, a young Toivo Peltonen decided to become an entrepreneur and establish his own ski factory—this marked the beginning of Peltonen’s journey as a ski manufacturer. Before founding the company, “Topi” spent some time working at the Järvinen ski factory. According to the story, people at Järvinen marveled at the young man from Hartola and his immense eagerness to learn every trick of the ski-making trade. Now, as we celebrate 80 years of operation, we are still following the path Topi set out for us—enthusiastic, curious, and rethinking what we do from a fresh angle every day. As a result of more than three years of active product development, we introduced a whole series of innovations for the 24/25 season that propelled Peltonen straight to the top
of the ski world. Our skilled team brought the product development vision to life, building into every pair of skis an amount of expertise, love, and care that only a Finnish ski craftsman can deliver. The completely renewed Supra X skating ski has undergone such extensive changes that there is hardly anything left of the previous version. The new edgeless Speed Edge 2.0 enhances the ski’s appearance, durability, and glide. The new OSC Curve introduces an optimized sidecut for skating skis, combined with a low, tight finishing wax pocket. With OSC Curve, the ski’s handling—especially on climbs—has been improved. WORLD CUP RACING COLLECTION
After years of research and development and with a completely new production method of skis, we are re-introducing our Speed Edge concept with a new twist. With Speed Edge 2.0, the traditional cap construction, which has widely been our industry standard for almost 30 years, is history. Speed Edge 2.0 removes ski’s traditional protruding sharp edge from the snow contact area of the ski and maximizes the usable gliding surface area of the ski. This assures maximum speed throughout glide phase, even when the ski in being run on its edge, cutting those valuable seconds needed on top level ski racing. Speed Edge 2.0 can be treated with liquid glide wax, which will result in perfectly sliding glidewall for your Supra X.

Nomex is extra light, aviation grade Kevlarreinforced honeycomb construction with topclass power transmission features. Due to the dynamic action of the construction it is used especially in race skis.
OSC Curve is specialty feature for our Supra X skating ski. It is a combination of new optimized side cut working together lowered camber.

KIDS
G-Grip skis are ideal for slow-speed recreational skiing. Skis are based on Peltonen G-GripTM coating, which provides grip and glide without need for waxing. G-Grip skis are easy to maintain, only wipe the base of your skis if dirty. The skis are in their element in conditions where grip waxing is normally difficult – like coarse spring snow or glazed tracks. The G-GripTM coating in extremely durable and allows carefree skiing years to come.
G-Grip skis are generally softer than regular classic skis. The grip is optimal right from the start. The ski optimizes its glide permanently after your first few kilometers of skiing. While skiing, the color changes from grey to black, which doesn’t affect either the grip or the glide. On freshly fallen snow, especially when temperatures are close to zero, it’s recommended to use an anti-ice product designed for G-Grip skis.
