DYNO-PLATE is an injection-molded plastic panel designed for a high dynamic response to bending. To keep the plate thin and lightweight, carbon fibers are added, further enhancing its flexibility and responsiveness. This blend of plastic and carbon fiber has proven to be the ideal combination for achieving maximum dynamic response. The specially designed outsole for skate skiing features a thin-layer construction for a lightweight feel, along with a high heel and 45-degree angled forefoot for optimal stiff flex. The NNN-compatible pivot point is slightly repositioned under the big toe, enhancing efficiency and delivering a stronger, more precise push-off.

PULSE soles are designed to fit the NNN system, ensuring compatibility with cross-country ski bindings. Their neutral design, balancing the height of the heel in relation to the metatarsal or forefoot, provides excellent stability and a well-balanced stance. The large walking surface enhances control and support, making them ideal for both diagonal and gliding cross-country skiing techniques.

PULSE 2.0 outsoles upgrade the functionality of the previous generation. They maintain the neutrality of the design in terms of their universality or suitability for both diagonal and skating running techniques on the one hand, while on the other hand they offer improved functionality in terms of flex and flexural strength. The walking surface remains large, allowing a firm stride both on and off skis.

Rottefella NNN BC: Rugged Design for Demanding Conditions. Designed for the backcountry, Rottefella's NNN BC is a durable and wider version of the regular NNN, tailored for challenging environments. Made of lightweight TPU, it offers excellent support and reliable traction with its aggressive tread pattern, ideal for snow, ice, and slippery surfaces.

ROTTEFELLA T4 Material: TPU

Efficient and Reliable ROTTEFELLA T4 Ski Sole. The ROTTEFELLA T4 sole, made from thermoplastic polyurethane, combines lightness with durability and cold resistance, enhancing cross-country skiing performance. Its flexibility allows for efficient strides and strong grip on various surfaces, suitable for skiers from beginners to experts.

Comfort XC

GAITERS

Gaiters cover the lower leg entirely and protect against cold, water, moisture, and snow. Gaiters are elastic and adaptable in the shoe instep to different foot shapes. On the one hand, gaiters are water-tight, but on the other hand, they are also breathable in the instep area of the shoe.

ELITE GAITER Material: Polyester and TPU foil

Ultralight thin-layer elastic Polyester-made gaiters combine breathability and water tightness. It improves the lightness of the shoe. The inside side is equipped with thin PU foil to prevent water and moister penetration and absorption, while the instep area is free of any foil to ensure breathability. Gaiters are equipped with elastic tape for gaiter adaptability to various lower leg shapes.

PRO Material: Technical Textile (Non-PVC)

The gaiter is made from a high-elastic, non-PVC technical fabric, making it environmentally friendly while maintaining top performance. An elastic collar band ensures a secure fit, while dual protective foils provide targeted protection — a durable, abrasion-resistant layer on exposed areas and a transparent, waterproof barrier to prevent moisture intrusion.

PULSE Material: PVC and Neoprene

Made out of PVC, it enables strength, lightweight, elasticity, and high durability, while NEOPRENE maintains good flexibility over a wide temperature range and offers good insulation against both wet and cold.

4DRY 4DRY stands for an innovative system made from bi-elastic PES textile material laminated with a membrane that allows the boot water impermeable and allows it to breathe. The material feels light and is hydrophobic, whisking away water and moisture to maximize comfort and ensure a dry and warm foot.

Alpina membranes are designed to keep your feet dry, warm, and comfortable in any weather condition. Whether you're skiing through deep powder or skating on groomed trails, Alpina membranes will help you stay protected from the elements. They are also lightweight and durable. This makes them a good choice for winter cross- and back-country boots, as they won't add too much weight to your boots and they will last for many seasons.

THINSULATE INSULATION

LACING

“Thinsulate” insulation provides up to twice as much thermal shoe insulation. It provides the foot maximum thermal comfort even under icy and high-humidity conditions.

Alpina offers two unique lacing systems for cross-country and backcountry boots: Diamond Lacing and Prime Lacing. Both systems are designed to improve torsional stability and power transfer, but they have slightly different characteristics. Alpina Diamond Lacing and Prime Lacing are two unique lacing systems that offer improved torsional stability and power transfer for cross-country and backcountry boots. The best lacing system for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.

DIAMOND LACING A braid angle of 45° relative to the longitudinal direction of the shoe improves the torsional stability of the soft part of the shoe. This ensures a tight fit between the shoe and the foot in the rotation phase of the shoe toward the inner side when skiing the skating technique.
