To our readers in September, As we begin to step into the final quarter of the year, the sky often shifts between lingering rain and the first whispers of a cooler breeze. It's a season of transition. Sometimes, the fatigue from the past 8 months of journeying can start to weigh heavily on your shoulders. If you're feeling tired, drained, or lost, please know that you are not facing it alone. In a world that constantly expects us to move forward, the bravest thing you can do is to "pause." This edition of Good Vibes has explored the art of self-compassion. May this September be a month that reminds you to hold yourself a little tighter, and to always remember that you are as deserving of kindness as you are to those around you.

3 วิธีชาร์จพลังใจในวันเหนือยล้า

3 Ways to Recharge Your Spirit on Exhausting Days

Sometimes taking care of your mental well-being can start with small things around you. Try incorporating these approaches into your daily life : Unplug to recharge (Digital Detox): Try setting aside at least 1 hour of "screen-free" time each day before bed to reduce exposure to news that triggers stress and give your brain a chance to truly rest Be kind to yourself as you would be to a friend (Self-Compassion): When you make a mistake, try replacing the self-critical voice in your head with encouraging words, just as you would when comforting a close friend Check in with your feelings (Emotional Check-in): Take 5 minutes in the morning or before bed to briefly ask yourself, "How are we feeling today?" without judging whether the feeling is good or bad, simply acknowledge and accept it

When friends aren't nice... How to take care of your heart when being bullied

Being bullied by someone we call a friend is an experience that leaves deep wounds and greatly affects our mental well-being. It's normal to feel hurt, confused, or question yourself. This journal aims to be a safe space and offers some mental first aid tips to help you regain your strength 1. Mental First Aid: Deal with the situation in front of you. When facing bullying, protecting your own feelings is the most important thing: Set Boundaries: Allow yourself to step away from the people who hurt you. Walking away or refusing to endure is not defeat; it’s courage in protecting yourself. Don't take those words as who you are: Always remember that teasing or bad behavior reflects the bully’s lack of maturity, not your worth. Seek Safe Space: Talk about this with someone you trust, whether it’s another group of friends, family, a teacher, or a psychologist. Holding the pain alone can build up stress.

🛑

🌱 2. Healing the Mind: Build Inner Protection

Once you’ve stepped away from a toxic situation, the next step is to heal yourself: Reflect on the meaning of "friend": Good friendship should be based on mutual respect and support. If a relationship is only suppressing you, it might be time to reorganize and filter the people in your life. Focus on your own happiness: Bring your attention back to your goals, interests, or hobbies that make you feel proud. This helps boost your confidence and reminds you that you are valuable in your own way. Additional Encouraging Thought "Your worth doesn’t decrease just because someone fails to see it. You always deserve to be treated with respect." If you’re going through this difficult situation right now, is there someone around you you feel safe enough to share your feelings with?

How to cope in a bullying society. Bullying isn't limited to the cyber world; it can happen anywhere in the real world, whether in educational institutions or workplaces, and it has been happening for a long time. Dealing with bullying requires mindfulness, remaining silent, responding appropriately, clarifying things at the right time, not harboring resentment, stress, or excessive anxiety, and choosing to live in a positive social environment. Limiting social media exposure sometimes is also important. If you can't find a solution, seek medical help for appropriate treatment. Nowadays, we hear the word "bully" frequently because people communicate so much through the cyber world that we often think it's just cyberbullying. But in reality, bullying can occur anywhere in daily life, whether in educational institutions or workplaces, and it has been happening for a long time. "Bullying" refers to violent behavior, harassment, and intimidation of others, both verbally and physically. In real life, it often involves mocking someone's appearance, social status, and physical harm. In the online world, it mostly stems from public shaming on social media. Often, bullying creates significant emotional impact, potentially leaving deep-seated wounds that are difficult to heal, or it can escalate into physical confrontation and injury. What constitutes bullying? Threatening behavior and bullying are often inseparable, as it usually stems from actions by those who believe they have more power over those who are weaker, or from larger individuals bullying smaller individuals. These behaviors can be repetitive. While the victim might forgive the first instance of abuse, repeated occurrences can lead to stress or resentment. Furthermore, most perpetrators have a clear goal of humiliating, physically harming, disgracing, or devaluing others. Bullying can be categorized as follows: - Physical bullying: This involves physically harming another person, causing visible injuries and wounds. In some cases, it can also have a psychological impact. - Verbal bullying: Although there are no visible physical wounds, sarcastic remarks, mockery, slander, and public humiliation can cause shame, anxiety, stress, repression, and even depression or social phobia. These are deeply painful emotional wounds. - Social bullying: This involves creating a social backlash against the victim, essentially using others to harm a single individual. This might include releasing videos of the victim or spreading rumors that are believed and shared widely, ultimately leaving the victim with no social standing.

How to cope in a bullying society. Dealing with bullying Often, bullying occurs simply because of a momentary lapse of judgment, temporary anger, or a fleeting decision. However, the consequences can be numerous and long-lasting for the victim. Therefore, knowing how to deal with bullying can help avoid physical, emotional, and social trauma. Here's how: Use silence to subdue bullying: Remaining silent in the face of bullying can quickly resolve the situation. Perpetrators often intend for the victim to retaliate, to create a wave of violence, or to gain satisfaction. But when the victim chooses to remain silent, the bully may become bored and eventually back down. Respond politely: Show that you don't find the actions or words amusing or offensive. Avoid shouting, raising your voice, or using abusive language. Clearly explain if the accusations are untrue. Talk to fellow victims to help resolve the situation: Sometimes, bullying doesn't affect just one person. Seeking out other victims provides additional evidence and witnesses that the bully is fabricating stories to harm the victim rather than presenting them as fact. Furthermore, fellow victims can offer valuable advice and support. Change your environment: If the bullying is causing significant physical or emotional harm, changing workplaces or friend groups can help speed up the recovery process. Consult a psychologist or psychiatrist. Often, bullying crosses the line, gnawing at the victim's psyche and creating wounds that make it impossible for the victim to function in society. In some cases, it can lead to stress, social isolation, repression, depression, and even suicide. Therefore, the best solution is to seek help from professionals such as psychologists or psychiatrists for consultation and effective treatment. We all live in an era of advanced technology. Bullying doesn't necessarily have to happen face-to-face. One day, we may become victims of social media bullying from people we've never met, or we may even become victims of bullying ourselves, or unknowingly start bullying. Therefore, for any action that makes another person feel worthless, bad, ashamed, or humiliated, take a step back, breathe deeply, before sharing, liking, writing, or speaking about it. Because once these things happen, no matter how many times we delete them, they remain ingrained in the victim's mind. Conversely, if you face the problem as a victim of bullying, you should respond calmly, sometimes remaining silent, responding or clarifying at the right time, not harboring resentment, stress, or excessive anxiety. Also, choose to live in a positive and suitable social environment, limit yourself from social media, and most importantly, if you can't find a solution, seek medical help for appropriate treatment.
