Why Desktop UV Printing Is Moving into the Mainstream A decade ago, only print providers comfortable with industrial inkjet touched UV desktop equipment. Now sign shops, promotional suppliers, engravers, packaging designers and small manufacturers are buying the same class of machine, pulled in by lower prices, smaller footprints and workflows that no longer demand an inkjet specialist to run them. What pulls them in is simple: these systems print directly onto rigid and semirigid objects without the screens, plates or setup time that conventional decoration methods require.
