Study the accounting equation and fill in the blank spaces.

Complete the accounting equation for the following transactions.

Transactions

1. The owner started a business with a capital contribution of R150 000. Issue a receipt.

2. Buy a vehicle for the business per EFT, R45 000.

3. Render a service for R1 200. Issue a receipt.

4. The owner takes R4 100 for personal use.

5. Buy stationery per EFT, R230.

6. Received R1 400 interest from the bank.

Show the effect of the transactions on the accounting equation.

Transactions

1. The owner decides to increase his capital contribution from R120 000 to R150 000. Issue a receipt.

2. Buy a warehouse to the value of R110 000. Pay per EFT.

3. Receive the monthly rent from a tenant. Issue a receipt for R3 200.

4. Services rendered for the week, R7 500.

5. Pay the weekly wages, R7 200.

6. Buy stationery per EFT, R4 250.

7. Buy a delivery vehicle per EFT, R62 000.

8. Issue a receipt for services rendered, R5 500.

9. The owner makes an electronic payment to pay his child’s school fees, R2 500.

10. Pay the telephone account, R1 300.
