IKEA | Marine Materials Innovation Program 2022 About 50 per cent of the total IKEA value chain climate footprint comes from materials used in products and food. To become circular and climate-positive, IKEA is searching for innovations to reduce its footprint, including sustainable marine material solutions. We scouted over 280 innovations working with materials such as algae, bacteria, fungi, seagrass or fish industry by-products.

Sollas | Impact Nation Sollas is a well-known designer and manufacturer of machines for sustainable packaging materials. It has delivered more than 15,000 automatic packing systems to customers in over 150 countries. As part of Impact Nation, we helped Sollas identify the best sealable coatings for alternative packaging materials to offer customers more sustainable packaging solutions. The company chose a strategic partner from the innovations we sourced to build a new marketleading solution.

Amsterdam Metropolitan Area | Circular Innovation Collective We joined forces with Metabolic, Bankers without Boundaries, Amsterdam Impact, Goldschmeding Foundation and DOEN Foundation as the Circular Innovation Collective (CIC) to develop a new approach to achieve a regenerative and circular economy. The method will be implemented for the first time in the textile sector to support the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area to achieve 70% circular textiles by 2030. In the first phase of CIC, we identified 300+ regional stakeholders and scouted 803 innovations, of which 10 joined the 2023 CIC accelerator.

AM | Innovation matching AM, part of the Royal Bam Group, creates and develops inspiring and sustainable living environments. The company aims to be climate positive by 2040 and teamed up with Impact Hub Amsterdam to explore growing crops on land that AM cannot (yet) build houses on and use these crops as input for sustainable construction materials. We helped the company scout for innovative partners that process crops such as elephant grass, flax, mycelium and bamboo into, for instance, brick, insulation, textile or other (interior) materials.
