The presents were distributed to children living in earthquake-affected container settlement areas across Yayladağı, Defne, Ballıöz, Kırıkhan, and Çataltepe, where many families continue to navigate the daily challenges of post-earthquake recovery.

According to recent data, more than 150,000 people in Hatay continue to live in over 100 temporary container settlements established after the February 2023 earthquakes. In the third yearaftertheearthquake,thetemporarysolutionhasbecome apermanentwayoflife.
Manyfamiliesincontainersettlementsremainunderfinancial strain, making discretionary purchases such as toys difficult. Opportunitiesforplay,creativity,andcelebrationcontributeto children's social and emotional development in times of ongoinguncertainty.

When families lack stable housing, it can be difficult to focus on anything beyond their immediate daily needs. Thanks to the generosity of IMI employees in Delray, children served by Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches received new summer essentials, including swimsuits and watershoes.
