Try the New Zanti’s Deli Now by Courtney Kamm
There’s a new deli in town! About a month ago, Roberto Zanti opened Zanti’s Deli located at 181 Concord Plaza Shopping Center. Zanti is the former chef-owner of Roberto’s Trattoria, also located within the Concord Plaza Shopping Center. The menu at Zanti’s Deli includes almost a dozen to-go sandwiches, including a meatball sub made with Zanti’s homemade meatballs. You’ll also find sides, salads, and two specials from Taranto, Italy, Zanti’s hometown - The Panzerotto and The Focaccina. You can also find prepared food to-go like lasagna, meatballs, chicken parm, and a wide variety of meats and cheeses imported from Italy. While you are welcome to come in and order your meals to go, you can call ahead to pre-order, and online ordering is available as well. Find the full menu and place your order at zantisdeli.com.
Celebrating Italian American Heritage Around The Country by Courtney Kamm
In 2008, Colorado debuted their Italian American Heritage license plates for any person in the state to register their vehicle with and showcase their Italian roots.
Italian immigrants had a significant presence in the state of Colorado dating all the way back to Columbus Day which originated in 1905. In 1922, one in five Colorado residents were from Italy, and today Italian Americans number over 200,000 and make up about five percent of the state’s population—a testament to the community’s legacy in the state. If you live in the state of Colorado and want to purchase these plates, visit your local DMV for details. And if you have them, we would love to share your story with our community!
