SUE WHYTE
Chief Executive Officer ILC
ILC’s first ever Summer Networking Event shone bright in London on 12 September, bringing the insurance claims sector together in support of the Rainbow Trust children’s charity.
Hosted on the bank of the River Thames, the occasion provided a relaxed, fun and engaging environment for more than 275 of the sector’s key influencers to join a host of activities and win some fantastic prizes.
We were blown-away with the response of the claims community in engaging with this new event format. Created inline with ILC’s mantra of ‘Better Tomorrow’ – this activity-based networking event helped put collaboration, diversity and inclusivity at the very heart of the insurance claims industry.
The event was supported by: 3D Rehabilitation; Davies Group; Edam Group; FENS; Geobear; HLBS; Horwich Farrelly; Innovation Group; Mainmark; Masterfix; National Windscreens; Nationwide Assistance Group; Smooth Vehicle Logistics; Subsidence Ltd; Synectics Solutions; Synetiq; Whichrate Consulting; WNS Assistance; and Vision Vehicles.
I would like to say a huge thank you to those organisations for having the vision and believe in ILC to deliver something very ‘different’ for the sector. It really does highlight the strength of the insurance claims community and how we can all pull together to make great things happen.
With plenty to keep guests occupied throughout the evening – including the Diamond Boys acoustic roaming band and our guest palm reader – there was also some ‘serious’ competition for the amazing activity prizes up for grabs.
Those who came out victorious on the night were:

Continuing our ongoing support of the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, which to date has seen the ILC community raise over £1,300,000, we were also delighted, once again, to provide a platform to support its incredible work.
This event helped contribute further to this amazing cause - a huge thank you to everyone for your support in attending and donations made on the night.

The collaboration will launch in November with a series of online feedback sessions between ILC’s New Generation in Claims Sponsors and Ambassadors to shape questions and outcomes for the main survey, ensuring that the insights gathered are both relevant and actionable Survey report launch event: May 2025.
