Bar Passage Statistics At Chicago-Kent, preparation for the bar exam begins in the first year and continues through graduation and beyond. Through coordinated support from the Offices of Academic Success and Bar Success, students build the legal analysis, writing, and problem-solving skills essential for success in law school, on the bar exam, and in practice. Chicago-Kent’s BarElevated initiative provides a structured approach to bar preparation across all three years of law school. In partnership with Themis Bar Review, students develop bar-tested skills from the first year through the third, with opportunities that include curriculum-based practice, targeted writing workshops, and performance task labs. In their final year, students may enroll in the credit-bearing Bar Foundations for Success course, focused on legal analysis, writing, and test-taking strategies.
