Make Plans to Attend the Be Ready QC Emergency Resource Fair - September 9th!
September is National Disaster Preparedness Month, and we're excited to be part of an event that can help save lives and protect our community. The first ever Be Ready QC Emergency Resource Fair is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Waterfront Convention Center, 2021 State St. in Bettendorf, IA. What to Expect: Get ready for a day filled with valuable information, hands-on training, engaging activities, and inspiring speakers—all geared towards enhancing your emergency and disaster preparedness knowledge. The family-friendly event promises something for everyone, from young learners to seasoned adults. Featured Speakers: A.J. Deandrea and his daughter, Madalena Deandrea will address Active Shootings. They each bring unique perspectives: A.J., a retired Deputy Chief with a remarkable 30-year law enforcement career, has responded to significant incidents like the Columbine and Platte Canyon School Shootings. His daughter, Madalena, an Emergency Management Specialist, is herself a mass shooting survivor. Together, they will shed light on the topic of Active Shootings from 1 PM to 3 PM.
