As part of the Somec group, Mestieri brings together a coordinated ecosystem of companies specialising in different sectors, such as marble, metal and wood. These companies interact with each other within a supply chain that is directly governed and supported by advanced engineering and rigorous project management. This approach enables complex projects to be undertaken with complete control over quality, timing and processes, resulting in bespoke, high-quality settings in both civil and naval contexts. Mestieri therefore presents itself as a single point of contact for architects and designers, offering the role of a strategic ally capable of translating tailored visions into reality.
Single management for multiple specialisations
Mestieri manages sophisticated projects as a single partner, backed by recognised expertise in engineering, innovation, and operational management. It coordinates the internal supply chains of manufacturing companies that collaborate as a sole entity. These include Budri, which for sixty years has been turning marble processing into a bespoke art applied to architecture and furniture. The versatility of metal finds its voice in Ceolin and Lamparredo, specialists in shaping raw materials into distinctive architectural features: from sculptural staircases to iconic façades, as well as luxury doors and exclusive windows for buildings of any scale. Parallelly, the mastery of millwork and the multi-material approach of Skillmax allow for the creation of tailored interiors and full turn-key environments for high-end hospitality, Michelin-starred restaurants, and luxury retail. Finally, the Group’s expertise extends to the marine sector through TSI (Total Solution Interiors), creating unique environments for cruise ships and large yachts.

Mestieri’s approach to each project is meticulously customized. Every realization is unique: choices are tailored to the specific needs of the customer, and support remains constant throughout the process to ensure excellent quality and performance at every stage, from conception to installation. Mestieri is involved from the earliest and most decisive stages of the design process, providing strategic consulting services including feasibility
studies, cost estimates and recommendations for the most effective solutions. This is followed by engineering, research and development, where design ideas are translated into precise technical models ready for production. Prototypes and samples can also be created at this stage, providing essential tools for evaluating materials, finishes, and proportions. This step enables each solution to be refined and its effectiveness to be verified in practice before
undergoing testing according to international standards. Only then does the production phase begin, in which advanced technologies and artisan expertise are continually integrated. Manual intervention, even on highly complex projects, transforms each creation into a sculptural and architectural element. Finally, Mestieri oversees the installation phase and provides ongoing support through scheduled maintenance services.

There is a desire to transcend conventions in terms of both design and creativity. This attitude accompanies Mestieri in every project, finding full expression in the Stuttgart project. For an international jewellery brand’s boutique, Mestieri collaborated with Ceolin and Lamparredo to develop a façade that interprets and conveys the brand’s values of extreme luxury. The surface comprises 2,829 three-dimensional, diamond-shaped ceramic elements set in glass. This creates a striking floating effect on the wall, while the iridescent finish of the elements produces vibrant, ever-changing plays of light that capture the eye and transform the façade into a dynamic, luminous presence in the urban landscape.
The natural beauty of the coastline inspired the interior design of Palazzo Avino. Designer Cristina Celestino redesigned the rooms and suites, which were then custom-made by Mestieri
Perched on the hills overlooking the Amalfi Coast, the hotel is housed in a 12th-century noble palace and is a gem of hospitality. Celestino redesigned some of the hotel’s most important rooms and suites, including the Belvedere Suite, which has a
terrace overlooking the sea and a private pool. She combined custom-made furnishings with a careful study of colour, texture and surface to create a dialogue between land and sea, classicism and orientalism, and interior and exterior. Mestieri and its compa-
nies brought this concept to life by shaping custom-made furniture and combining fine wood with ceramics, antique mirrors, and high-quality fabrics to capture the essence of the Amalfi Coast’s landscape and light within the indoor realizations.

Dhabi Mosque. In the large outdoor square, a vast floral arrangement (the largest in the world) is taking shape, composed of various types of marble, inlays, and mosaics that form spectacular geometric floral patterns, adding
decorative flair, brightness, and a modern touch to the setting. Inside the mosque, Budri has created an additional 3,600 square metres of polychrome marble inlays. (Lead contractor Fantini Mosaici).

The monumental and enveloping staircase created by Mestieri and Ceolin for the McCartney flagship store on Old Bond Street in the heart of London is a prime example of this. Made entirely of raw steel, it connects the store’s four floors, all of which were created with sustainability in mind; this is evident in the use of recycled and re-
cyclable materials, organic elements and biodegradable mannequins. Mestieri’s capacity to turn a vision into something spectacularly real is an integral part of this vision. A distinctive feature of the staircase is the integration of specially created speakers that play unreleased tracks by Paul McCartney, the designer’s father.
