With effect from July 1, 2017 the Goods and Service Tax (GST) introduced in India replaces many indirect taxes that
previously existed. GST has helped remove the cascading effect of various taxes.It is a big pace in the reform of indirect taxes
which will play major role in growth and development of country. This paper gives understanding about GST, its benefits and
