The main objective of this paper is to provide a better understanding of the effect of sodium gluconate (SG) along with Polycarboxylate Ether (PCE) on ordinary Portland cement (OPC) hydration behavior. The Pastes performances of ordinary portland cement, including mechanical strength, fluidity, the heat of hydration, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and thermal analysis (TGA-DTA) are studied.
