Corrosion is a very natural a phenomenon and a serious problem in the global world, converts a refined metal to a
more chemically-stable form, such as its oxide, hydroxide, or sulfide. Most prominent corrosion inhibitors are organic
compounds containing nitrogen, Sulphur, oxygen, and phosphorus in their functional groups. The mechanism of these
compounds has been proposed to be the adsorption, by means of lone pairs of electrons, of the organic functional groups on the
metal surfaces.
