Water is an essential resource in the world and currently household drinking water is an important asset to save the life due to shortage of water on the earth. In this fast world is looking at options to make routine works automated and helpelderly people and patients at home through automation. This system describes the design and development process of an automatic control system for tap water using IR sensor and DC motor which can avoid wastage of water. The physically disabledpersons require special assistances from caretakers or other persons to lead their normal life even at home. It is not convenient for them to control the house apparatus system according to their wish. In this project, automation system is implemented which consists of automating manually operated electric switches using mobile as controller.
