Software Defined Networking (SDN) is an emerging technology which can reduce the complexity of network management and configuration. SDN was mainly focused on wired networks but now SDN has extended its scope to wireless sensor
networks (WSN). Software Defined Wireless Sensor Networks (SDWSN) allows dynamic configuration of sensor nodes and
centralised control over entire network which can save energy of sensor nodes and easy management of WSNs. Heterogeneity
of sensor nodes is an important factor to be consider in the WSN. In this paper we design and develop an open platform for
Heterogeneous Software Defined Wireless Sensor Network. Also we have designed a Device-control table for device level control
and management. This can be useful for the implementation of SDWSN in real time applications.
