Agriculture was discovered by humans a little over 10,000 years ago. With the help of agriculture, humans achieved
subsistence, established trade relations, and a new economic system. The high intensity and workforce-intensive agriculture
provided the base for the ‘Industrial Revolution’ in the 17th century which led to the prosperity of the society and transformed the
society economically. But industrial revolution gave rise to the problem of ‘Global warming’. The burning of fossil fuels,
deforestation to set up industries added to the concentration of carbon dioxide, and greenhouse gas emissions which led to global
warming which is just one aspect of a major problem- Climate change. Climate change has been the grim reality to which the
world woke up in the last decade which proved to be the hottest decade. It is affecting human health, world economies, animal
and marine lives adversely.
