The goal of this paper is to detect the brain tumor using neural networks. Image processing techniques play an
important role in the diagnostics and detection of diseases and monitoring the patients having these diseases. A new method for
Brain Tumor Analysis using Probabilistic Neural Network with Discrete Cosine Transformation is proposed. The conventional
method tomography and magnetic resonance brain images analysis and tumor detection is human inspection. Operator assisted
classification methods are impractical for large amounts of data and are also non reproducible. Computerized tomography and
Magnetic Resonance images contain a noise caused by operator performance which can lead to serious inaccuracies in
classification.
