Handwritten Character Recognition (HCR) has been challenging research especially in Gujarati language.
Handwritten Character Recognition may be online and offline. Gujarati script contains numerical, characters and modifiers. In
Gujarati character, when two consonant joints they form conjunct character or also called joint character. This adds more
problems for identification of existing character. These are the some consonants of Gujarati script which can be considered as
reason for low accuracy in Gujarati characters recognition. This paper describes an analysis of Gujarati handwritten joint
characters.
